Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The greatest apples I have ever eaten. Obviously it's fun to take a day trip and do the whole "pick-your-own" thing, which is exactly what my boyfriend and I did early fall last year. Later in the fall, towards the end of the apple picking season, we made the 40 minute drive from the city again. This time, hardly many decent apples were left on the tree. We ended up just taking a nice stroll around the orchard. Instead of picking any, we "settled" and bought a bag of the premium grade honeycrisps from the apple house. This ended up being THE move. We got back home and after unpacking the fresh apples, I grabbed one to sample. As I crunched into the apple my eyes immediately widened, and I silently extended my arm grasping the bitten apple towards my boyfriend. He raises his eyebrow, takes the fruit from my hand, bites it, and makes eye contact with me again, surprised. The next five minutes can only be described as passionate. Passing the piece of fruit between the two of us, we ate that apple together, alone in our dimly lit kitchen, with the fervor of two new sinners in eden. The juice was dripping from our chins, the only sounds filling the air were crunches and the satisfied "mmm"s and "wowww"s while we waited for our next bite, passing the apple back and forth like we were smoking it. I have never eaten fresher, juicier, sweeter, crunchier apples, and I dream about them all winter. A&Ms honeycrisp apples (specifically) are my favorite fruit, if anything ever happens to that orchard I will never recover. Also sometimes they have a pretzel truck! :D”

“What a wonderful quaint place to enjoy time with family or friends. The process are very reasonable. They're extremely knowledgeable about what they have to offer. The selection is great from all sorts of delicious juicy apples, pumpkins, gourds and squash. The family atmosphere is so wonderful and refreshing. Take the time to go, go pick a bucket of apples or buy a bag from the store. Grab a pumpkin to carve and a couple for a nice pie. You will not regret spending the day here. I know we didn't.”

“Apple picking is a fall must! Get there early to borrow a wagon or bring your own. Buckets are helpful too. They have a great selection of pumpkins and gourds as well. Stop in the store for cider, cider pops, caramel apples, and other apple based treats!”

“Great prices, great selections, wonderful family environment! After picking apples we grabbed a pretzel at the food truck on site and enjoyed a lunch snack.”

“Love going here to pick pumpkins and apples and pickup fresh pressed apple cider. It is worth the hour drive from central Cincinnati.”

“Great upick experience I only wish they had more signs down each row for the specific varieties with details about the taste”

“We've been going apple picking here for years. Always a great time. Plenty of options.”

“Staff was nice, cider was great and we enjoyed the ride on the tractor. The pumpkin selection was great and the patch was nice. The apples for picking themselves were not as great. There were entire rows of trees with rotten apples. An area at the back (if you get off the tractor and go left and then the trees on the right near the pond are all rotten). It was interesting because inside the store they had bags of beautiful apples but they must have taken them all for that. We went early in the season hoping to get a good shot and creme of the crop but it was very slim picking. Couldn’t find a Granny Smith worth taking. Another woman was hunting them too and tasted one and said it wasn’t good. Lastly, we couldn’t find a pole with a basket to pick higher and when I asked they said there were only 8 for the whole place. There were easily 50+ groups of people and they had 8 poles. I see all these great reviews and maybe this year they just got nailed hard by something that killed all the fruit. Wanted to love this place. Drive 45 minutes to get there.”
