Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This was a GREAT place to pick cherries! The owners were very friendly, happily answered my many questions and provided me a fun enjoyable experience. I'll be back! Oh, and the tart cherries are wonderful; I can barely wait to make my first Door County Cherry pie 🍒 🥧”

“🍒Cherries were so good, even the tart cherries were sweet! Amazing experience! The owners and their family were so helpful and kind! Orchard was just beautiful 🍒 I highly recommend! We will be back next year 😊”

“Had a great time, the family was so nice in telling us where to go and tricks (white pales)on finding the rip ones. The cherrys taste so good, I can't wait to get home and make some pies and cherry bomb!!”

“Always a great place for delicious cherries. We are looking forward to getting our cherries again here for our annual cherry preserve canning. Also, great folks to work with.”

“We had a great experience. Easy picking of tarts and sweets. Very helpful, friendly people. Now I'm excited to work with my harvest of delicious cherries!”

“I have come here for over 10 years. It's a great place to go pick cherries. It is very easy to get the cherries off the tree.❤”

“I love going to Alexander's for my cherry picking. The trees are usually full. I haven't had too much issue with their customer service. The proces have gone up a fair amount over the last few years with this year (2023) being $15 per pail.”

“Wasted about an hour of our day going here just for it to be closed for the season. Could have been easily avoided if they updated the Google maps page or had a website. Honestly pretty upsetting because of the business hours being so similar for the attractions around here so we could have been at another orchard or at a winery or brewery or something. Very upsetting.”
