Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Minnesota.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This place is great!! It’s very reasonably priced compared to other fall farm attractions. Plenty to do for the kiddos, mine especially loved the corn pit, hamster wheel, and seeing the animals and baby chicks! They also enjoyed the pumpkin train ride, playing tic tac toe, and the giant slide! There was so much to do, we didn’t even get to everything that we wanted to as it was getting late. The barn is also huge and decorated super cool. All the cafe lights, Mighty Ducks flags and Stanley Cup are nice touches! The Charlie Brown movie was playing inside with nice large benches to sit. There are PLENTY of adorable photo ops, especially their new “LOVE” installation, soooo cute! I just love this adorable family farm. I can tell they put a lot of love, creativity, and hard work into running it. We will definitely be back!!”

“This place is absolutely perfect for families with young kids. We brought our two and a half year old and he had a blast (don't let his face fool you 😂) It's a smaller layout with all the pumpkins out in front of the barn rather than the field which is perfect for little legs that would get tired. There's plenty of animals to see, Tonka trucks to play with, a Rainbow play set, big tractors to admire, pumpkins to see, and little riding tractors for free, though there's several paid activities like a giant slide, pumpkin painting, bouncy houses, and hayrides. It's just $5 each to get in but it'll add up quickly if you want to do everything. All in all a better choice than the bigger places for toddlers with little legs and smaller attention spans while still supporting a local family farm!”

“Anoka county farms was a blast! My children got to experience seeing chicken and ducks, ride on mini tractors in a maze and a controlled small environment. We played table tic-tac-toe, pumpkin chess, free throw basketball, and play on the mini playground. Their favorite thing was the tractor ride! Everything was affordable and enjoyable! Even the owner was extremely nice and came out to chat with us for a second. We will definitely be back! 💚🚍💜🧟‍♂️🚜🎃”

“Anoka County Farms is an an annual tradition for our family 🎃 It is family friendly, affordable and run by an amazing local family 🧡 from pumpkin painting, animals, Scotty’s Super Slide 🛝 the jump house, barrel and hay ride, there is something for everyone!!! They put a lot of work into making this great fun for everyone! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Had a fun day! $5 admission covers the hayride and a bunch of activities around the farm. We liked shooting hoops, the hamster wheel, the giant hay bales and seeing the farm animals. Other ticketed activities are $3 to $5 depending on what you do. Nice place, and staff. We will be back this fall.”

“My wife, my daughter, my niece, my mother, and I have came the last 4 years, and we always cherish our time with the beautiful family. I absolutely love the story behind the story. They keep Scott's memory alive, with a beautiful passion of his.”

“Gabby was the best worker there, she does a great job taking care of the animals. Personally, I love their “oversized” pumpkins and $5 to get in is a STEAL!!! I love the owners responses, they seem like great people.”
