Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Arizona.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This farm is beautiful and the people who run it deeply care about their guests experiences and the land they steward. I would live here full time if I could. I would throw my shoes away, cut head and arm holes in an old burlap sack and wear it while I skip and dance my way around this place. The Treehouse Casita was immaculately clean and the bed was super duper comfy. We had fresh grapefruit and baked bread with butter and we knew we had stumbled upon a place to return to often throughout our lives. Huge thank you to our host who made our trip even more special. Can't wait to return!!! Dylan and Richelle 8>”

“Hidden Gem and less than a two hour drive from the Valley! Shelly and I loved our return trip to Aravaipa Farms Orchard and Inn (AFOI). Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially Angelina! The dogs are fun to be around - Cootie, Desi, and Guillermo! The fruit and fresh baked bread is delicious. The hike into the Aravaipa Canyon was as enjoyable as the last time. Looking forward to another stay at AFOI!”

“Formerly an Arabian horse ranch located on indigenous land. Aravaipa Creek runs through this canyon so it's lush and green, with over 900 fruit trees. We didn't have a reservation so we just drove by. The orchards were in bloom and we crossed the creek to get a closer look. Next time we will stay here. The rooms look amazing.”

“Shared a couple of amazingly wonderful days with close friends at Aravaipa Farms. What a tranquil, restful slice of heaven. Angelina is a wonderful host, and the Farm House was impeccably clean and delightful. We all left feeling uplifted and really enjoyed our hike in the canyon”

“Loved our three-day escape in this lovely setting. Such a picturesque inn with deep history, surrounded by dramatic canyons, sharp peaks and wonderful hiking opportunities. Angelina and Jamie are wonderful and knowledgeable hosts. We’ll be back!”

“Beautiful weather, delicious bread, loved walking within the orchards and exploring off site. The bird watching was incredible and the overall charm and eclecticness a perfect weekend getaway retreat. Thank you!”

“We had such a wonderful stay at Aravaipa Orchard and Inn. Tucked away on a working orchard just a short drive north of Tucson, the setting feels absolutely idyllic—peaceful, scenic, and truly special.|It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re lucky enough to score one of the coveted permits for the West Aravaipa Trail, but honestly, it would be just as enjoyable as a relaxing getaway on its own. The property has a quiet charm that makes you want to slow down and soak it all in.|We stayed in the three-bedroom cabin, and it was fantastic. The farmhouse kitchen was not only spacious and well-equipped, but full of personality—complete with whimsical hand-painted dishes that added such a fun, thoughtful touch.|The grounds are truly magical. From the lush orchard setting to the lovely pool and welcoming group pavilion, every corner invites you to relax and enjoy the surroundings.|This place is a gem—we’re already looking forward to coming back.”

“We stayed at the Inn because it was so close to the Aravaipa Canyon hike we were planning the next day. It was such a wonderful place to stay, we were lucky enough to stay another night and explore another nearby hike. The check-in was personal and helpful along with the written help info. The orchards were just beginning to blossom and the fragrance was incredible. The grapefruit and lemons were delicious. The room was very nice with great views, propane BBQ for cooking, nice extras as well. Will definitely come again, maybe rent the large lodge with a few more friends!”
