In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Nevada, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Nevada.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We'd never visited Artesian Cellars before and drove from Las Vegas specifically for the wine tasting and a nice lunch. What we discovered was a pleasant surprise! Conveniently located right off the main highway in Pahrump, we initially planned just a quick stop for lunch. A friendly phone call with Shane piqued our interest... he was incredibly welcoming and helpful; so we couldn't wait to arrive. When we got there, Shane greeted us warmly and even remembered our conversation from just 30 minutes earlier (impressive!). He seated us in a cozy, private back room that felt relaxed and intimate. We started with the wine tasting; five delicious wines brought out to the table and paired it with lunch. The appetizers were outstanding: the mushroom croquettes and crispy artichoke hearts were bursting with incredible flavor. We also ordered two entrées, including the tri-tip sandwich. While the sandwich was solid, it lacked that bold, standout tri-tip taste we were hoping for. Everything else, though, was flavorful and spot-on. The real highlight was the wine! All five we sampled were excellent; well-balanced, tasty, and clearly made with care. We ended up purchasing three bottles to take home because they were that good. Something to note is that since we did buy bottles of wine are wine tasting fee was waived; something that really helped with the purchase. The staff (especially Shane) was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate, which made the whole experience even better. Artesian Cellars is now a must-stop for us whenever we're in Pahrump. We'll definitely be back soon for more wine, food, and that welcoming vibe! Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Nevada wines, tasty bites, and a relaxed atmosphere.”

“From the moment we walked through the door, we were warmly welcomed by Louise, and we were made to feel like longtime regulars. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, setting the tone for a truly memorable evening. Our server, Shane, was an absolute delight...joyful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He guided us through the wine tasting with enthusiasm and expertise, making the experience both fun and informative. For dinner, I had the baked chicken, and my husband ordered the salmon with lemon orzo... the salmon was especially outstanding. We’re already planning to come back tomorrow! To top it all off, we enjoyed a lava cake for dessert out on the patio, where a live musician added the perfect touch to the atmosphere. It was a wonderful evening from start to finish. Highly recommend!”

“If you happen to be driving by don’t bother UNLESS you get Shane as your server. He’s there on Thurs -Monday. Attentive and knowledgeable but not a pest. Seriously best service ever with reasonable prices. Fabulous food. I had the peach flatbread that was not skimpy on the cheese. The wines are all fantastic and they will refund the 10.00 wine taste if you purchase a bottle. Thank you Shane for showing up and giving 110% I travel a lot and trust me it’s rare.”

“@artesiancellarswinery was the BEST choice for a Sunday afternoon glass of wine, delicious bites, exceptional service, and great conversations. The prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese and roast beef and gorgonzola flatbread were literally delicious! Started with wine tasting, and ended up with a bottle of their petite sirah that was such a delightful taste to our pallet! We will be back!”

“Excellent food, award-winning wine, but what truly makes this place special are the people who make it happen. As a full-time traveler, I’d gladly detour hundreds of miles to return here—where you come for the wine and leave with new friends. Thank you, Pam, Marie, Kim, Robin, Shane, Dennis, and everyone else I had the pleasure of visiting with.”

“Had a great experience with my brother. This is definitely hidden gem in a buffer desert town. Bruschetta was amazing, along with the 5 tastings for $10. Bought a De Paolo Prosecco and 2021 Artesian Barbera for my friends. Great value, atmosphere and a friendly host!”

“Amazing service, great food. Both the charcuterie board and their expansive drink selection were tasty. The wine tastings are a fun experience that I heavily recommend. All the wine you taste, you can also buy in bottle form.”

“This winery is built out of a single-family house. It's a popular locals' spot, everyone is incredibly friendly, hanging out, and chit-chatting about their families and life. They also have live music out on the patio, which is really nice to sit and enjoy when it's not too hot outside. That said, I would not recommend the wines. We tried all of them, and most had a sulfurous, funky smell and taste. My guess is that something happened with the yeast and the fermentation process. The hospitality and the local vibe are great, so I'd say come for dinner and just stick to a single glass of something you know you like, but definitely skip the wine tasting or trying too many of the options.”
