Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Alabama.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Nestled in the lush Alabama countryside this "u-pick" blueberry farm is a real hidden gem. The laid-back atmosphere is both peaceful and inviting, creating a perfect experience for anyone and everyone. We pulled up to a vintage barn that created an ideal staging area to grab our baskets and head out into the rich green fields of blueberry bushes. The blueberries were plentiful and each bush was packed with juicy goodness. Growing in bunches, giant blueberries practically fell off into our hands. Our group was so excited as the crop was perfectly ripe and the weather was great. The owner was kind and warm and went above and beyond to exemplify the type of friendliness the South is famous for. He was funny, generous, and extremely helpful. He made a great experience even better. We were so appreciative for this as it is increasingly rare these days. It made our week and we are still talking about it. The blueberries are absolutely delicious, sweet, juicy, and each bite is a splendid treat. Perfect to turn into a pie, cobbler, or eat just as they are. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time and we so grateful. I would strongly recommend this wonderful experience to anyone in the area or as a destination. I've been a lot of places, trust me, you won't regret it!”

“Baldwin Blueberries is one of those rare places that reminds you what Alabama’s countryside is all about. Nestled in the beautiful rural landscape of Baldwin County, this farm offers an authentic Southern experience from the moment you arrive. The owners are absolutely wonderful people—warm, welcoming, and full of genuine Southern charm. They make you feel less like a customer and more like a guest visiting old friends. What truly sets this farm apart are the blueberry bushes themselves. These mature 40-year-old plants are loaded with some of the largest, sweetest blueberries I’ve ever seen. The berries are incredibly flavorful, and it’s obvious that decades of care and experience have gone into maintaining this amazing farm. Whether you’re picking your own berries, enjoying the peaceful country setting, or simply spending time with great people, Baldwin Blueberries is a hidden gem. If you’re anywhere near Mobile or Baldwin County during blueberry season, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Five stars isn’t enough!”

“I went for the first time this morning. I neglected to bring bug spray but there weren’t that many bugs! When I first set out the hostess said the bushes were “kinda picked over”. If these are picked over then the fattest birds and squirrels in the world must live here and roll themselves leisurely to the bushes every morning for a feast… the bushes were dripping with berries. Plenty high and low for taller pickers as well as their miniature companions (aka children). These berries are SWEET as well! I picked 6 pounds in 90 minutes. I’m ecstatic.”

“Good picking! The blueberries were ripe and sweet and at $1 lb, a great deal. We purchased some of Delaney's local honey available there, because their bees are used in the fields. We went early, because it gets hot super quick.”
