Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“If you’re looking for a place to spend a relaxing day outdoors with family or friends, I can’t recommend Beasley’s Orchard enough. Our family friends were visiting from California, so we wanted to show them a true Indiana experience, and this turned out to be one of the highlights of their trip. We visited during strawberry-picking season, and it was such a fun experience. After a short tractor ride out to the fields, we got to hand-pick our own fresh strawberries. There were eight of us, and for around $60 we got two baskets and created memories that were worth far more than the cost. It’s a perfect activity for kids and adults alike. Don’t leave without visiting the farm store! They have an amazing selection of fresh local produce, homemade jams, fruit butters, sauces, and other farm products. We picked up their mango pineapple salsa, and it was honestly one of the best salsas we’ve ever had. They also had delicious strawberry butter, fresh vegetables, and plenty of other locally made items. What made the visit even more special was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, genuine, and incredibly kind. A special thank you to our tractor driver, John, who shared stories about growing up on a farm in Wisconsin and how working here has become his retirement passion. It was such a personal touch that made the experience feel authentic, and we even stopped to take a few pictures with him. The entire orchard was clean, well-organized, and had that peaceful old-country charm that’s becoming harder to find. Whether you’re visiting for seasonal fruit picking, shopping for fresh local products, or simply looking for a fun family outing, this place is absolutely worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend Beasley’s Orchard to anyone looking to experience one of the best family-friendly attractions in the area. Five stars without hesitation!”

“Took my family here for the first time on 6/28/26. Ive been changing grocery shopping from big name grocery stores to local farm markets and farm to table stores. I grew up helping my papaw and granny, with all my cousins, on his farm and his garden so I have a huge love and appreciation for local farms and anything homemade or home-grown. I went specifically for the strawberries I saw on facebook and left with much more than that. Thanks to the great taste of the strawberries, I now have delicious homemade jam. The apple cider slushies were delicious and came in clutch when we had to go pick strawberries because they ran out in the market. I didnt prepare for that, take an umbrella for cover, it was scorching outside 😂. I noticed they had their u-pick flower field open but I didnt have time to go, they looked beautiful! They also have a play area for the kids, my kids had a blast there for a bit. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The older man who pulled the tractor to the u-pick strawberry field is full of jokes and super friendly, we loved that. Loved the atmosphere, it remeinded me of back home and growing up. All in all it was a great experience and we love it there, I adore it. Definitely will make it a weekly visit for fresh produce and homemade items!”

“This was so nice. A fun relaxing place to visit. Picked my own apples which was delicious. They offer you a bag to put them in, two different choices, large or small , 2 different prices. You could fill these bags with a lot of apples. I like that they give you a map with names of the different apples, whats ready to pick and whats not. There's drinks, snacks like donuts, apple cider flavors. A gift shop, hayrides, games. I can't wait to return.”

“My boyfriend and I had a great time! All the staff were very nice and friendly. We went later in the day and it wasn’t very crowded at all. We got a bunch of pumpkins for a good price and finished up with some goodies from the little store.”

“I wasnt a fan of the dog being in the buggy sniffing on everything. I ended up getting kale from back so that it wasnt contaminated. I really enjoyed the cider slushy. It was my first time trying a strawberry flavored cider. The donuts were decent. My favorite was the strawberry.”
