What you can pick
In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for South Carolina, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in South Carolina.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“What an incredible time we had! The people running it are amazing, super friendly and make you feel like family! We went this past Saturday and they had a large event going, so it may not be this busy everytime but buy the tickets for the ride to feed the bison before going berry picking so they don’t run out of space and time. It’s worth the time to go on it, they are fun animals and the guide is awesome! The berry picking was also just a blast, and obviously the blackberries we got are tasty. But do wear some good shoes, especially if it has been rainy. The short walk to the field was somewhat muddy, so good tread and probably not your favorite Air Force Ones lol. We will DEFINITELY be back! They are undeniably putting on a top shelf experience here! The people must love what they do, because you can feel it the entire time you’re here with them!”

“We had a great time at the farm! It costs $15 per car to get in, plus extra if you pick blackberries. They tell you near the entrance that a full basket of berries will cost about $30, so keep that in mind. We picked about half a basket, and it came to $15, which was totally fine. It was a bit muddy on the way to the fields because of rain the day before, but that didn’t bother us. We took a truck ride back, which was fun. We didn’t get to ride the tractor because there was a long line. We got there at 9 AM, and it was already pretty crowded. So if you want to avoid the lines and see everything, come right when they open. Overall, my kid was really happy, and I had a great time too!”

“We had a wonderful time at Bison Berry Farms! The woman who was working the counter, I believe she is an owner, was so warm and welcoming- she even let my kids hold baby turkeys! We loved watching the bison in the fields, and we’re even able to see two one-week-old babies (just the cutest things). The blackberries were absolutely delicious. They were so yummy that we picked 5 pounds. The property was gorgeous, and my kids enjoyed walking past the chickens and petting the farm dogs. The highlight of the trip was, of course, the blackberry lemonade slushies! Highly recommend that you visit, just go in the morning to avoid the heat!”

“We loved attending your grand opening event! Like the man behind us in line said, “Enoree hasn’t seen crowds of this magnitude before!” It was a nice, healthy walk to pick the blackberries. There were two varieties for picking. They both were so juicy and delicious! We also enjoyed the blackberry lemonade slushee. We will definitely be back! 5 stars all the way!”

“We went during the blackberry u pick season and everything (including restrooms- important when going with children) was very clean and well maintained. The owners were super friendly and overall we had a fun time there as a family. We got blackberries, slushies and their organic eggs which are packed in the cutest way. We will go again next year!”
