What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Missouri, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I love this place. And I love picking blueberries. This place is even better when the lavender is in bloom. They also sell wonderful products. No matter what season you are there for, go buy the lavender seasoning!! I use it on so many things. I recommend going on a Saturday when they might have live music in the cafe. 10/10 must go! Btw, when I went (June 2024), there’s a $5 parking fee and blueberries were $4.50/lb.”

“Blueberry and lavender family farm. Pick your own or buy “we pick” blueberries. Yummy baked goods, salads and custom blueberry drinks available in the quaint cafe/barn. Don’t miss the season next year. If you join their Facebook page you will be sure to stay informed. They also have a barn/venue that holds 150 guests. Great for showers, work parties, or birthdays. I will be back!!”

“I went to simply pick blueberries with friends, ended up razzled and dazzled! It was an experience! The people were happy to see us, extraordinarily friendly and helpful. As of June 24 th there are still an abundance of berries ready and ripe to pick and more berries yet to ripen. I am returning tomorrow with more friends! Coming in the evening, the land is beautiful!”

“Enjoyed each time I visited the Black and Blueberry Farm this season. They have the best blueberry ice cream, lavender cold brew and cheesecake with lavender honey!!! I had a wonderful time picking blueberries; they are a great price-per-pound too. I can't wait until next season!”
