What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Kentucky, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My husband and I attended a U-pick charcuterie event, and absolutely loved our experience! My husband couldn't believe that we had something so nice just minutes from our own home! Kari had thought of everything, from seating, to bug spray, infused water, photo ops, limited availability so that it wasn't crowded, and delicious treats! The night we went, there were cake pops, with edible flowers from the garden, on the actual pops. They were divine! Our bouquets went home with cups that fit in our cup holders (brilliant!), plant food for vases at home, and the flowers have lasted a full week and a half already, and going strong! They make me so happy, just to see them and be reminded of our fun outing! We will definitely be back, and until then, I'm still just smitten with our photos and memories. I'm also looking to book a private event with a group of ladies, and I look forward to having the whole beautiful space for ourselves!”

“If you are looking for a quiet, serene place to take in nature and the beauty of various flowers, BlackBerry Ridge Flower Farm is your place!! Gather a group of your girlfriends and come out and let Kari teach you how to put together a beautiful flower arrangement! Perfect place for a fun get together with your family or friends! We had a group of ladies that serve on a team at our church come out and we had an extraordinary time!! Check it out for yourself and you won’t leave disappointed!”

“I have done several events with Kari at this flower farm (u-pick, everlasting pumpkins, wreath making) and every workshop has been so well done! I would not consider myself a crafty person, but I have left every workshop proud of my creation and empowered that I can do it! Kari also has put so many small details into her workshops that make them so cute and memorable. No matter what you consider your skill level to be, you HAVE to check this place out. 10/10”

“What a special evening we enjoyed at Blackberry Ridge Farm. Our gracious host Kari answered all our questions about her farm, allowed us to pick gorgeous bouquets, served us hot apple cider and goodies, and supplied everything we needed to make our everlasting pumpkin arrangements. Even kept us warm on a brisk night. Can't wait to see what else she offers in the future.”

“My sister and I bought the u-pick flowers experience for my mom’s birthday and we had the absolute best time! The flowers were gorgeous and the owner, Karrie, was so kind and helpful. We brought bagels to eat at the picnic table before we picked and it was just the best morning. The perfect experience for anyone who loves flowers and beautiful scenery!”

“Such a relaxing and enjoyable time with friends from our Kenya Mission Team. We were able to enjoy Kari’s hospitality, picking flowers from the garden enjoying God’s creation while enjoying a relaxing time of fellowship together! Thank you Kari!”

“What a delightful, fun experience at Blackberry Ridge! We enjoyed making a mini vase of flowers, enjoyed delicious tea and treats and had so much fun making new friends! We'll be back for the Fairy Night with my granddaughter!”

“The fairy garden night was enchanting! We all enjoyed roaming the garden to create our bouquets, the mocktails, and creative charcuterie. Kari is so warm and hospitable.”
