Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Today was our first visit to Blue Barn Acres. Our visit was beyond exceptional! We came today as a family of 12 and they did not disappoint! The corn maze, playground and TP are all free. The kids had a blast, from ages 17 to 3. For a family our size, you would expect to pay a small fortune going to a place as nice as this. $50. That’s it. I forgot how many pumpkins we ended up with. But after I had paid the lady my toddler decided he wanted a little pumpkin that had a broken stem and she gladly told him he could just have it. You made his entire day! Thank you so much for the amazing experience. Our family will be back every year from now on.”

“Great place to spend some family time in the fall. We enjoyed finding our pumpkins for Halloween, walking the corn maze, they offered wagon rides as well. You can select Pumpkins from the piles that have already been picked OR you can go into the patch and pick your own. Very reasonably priced fun family outing. Highly recommend!”

“What an exceptional find as we were driving the back roads! The pumpkins were enormous! We left with 10 pumpkins of every size for $30! They had everything from giant pumpkins to tiny ones at every price point. 3rd generation family farm, personable and kind owners. We cannot want to go back next year!”

“Fun little farm stop with a bunch of things for kids to do (and all of the activities appear to be free!). All of the pumpkin prices are lower than other places around. Overall, a wonderful fun afternoon. FYI: the corn maze is a legit corn maze. Don't go in there thinking it is a kid's corn maze.”

“Great prices on pumpkins, lots of color and variety too! Kids can ride toy tractors, play in the hut, or on the swing set. We didn't do the corn maze with a little one because it is huge! Definitely worth the drive out.”

“Great process and friendly family farm. Pumpkins and gourds are gord goues. Little corn stalk walk through and corn maze is free.”

“Great selection and great prices on pumpkins and gourds. Thanks for a fun experience and your hospitality!”

“Great selection of everything you need for fall. The pumpkins are awesome and affordable.”
