Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Florida.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My wife suggested that we pick some fresh fruit, so a quick Google search and we found Bluebird Family Farm. As your walking in you are greeted by two lovely women, they quickly run through a how to, the best berries to pick, and inform you that because they don’t spray the plants, you’re able to taste test them. Which we took as a plus. Overall we received great customer service from the staff and we will be returning for some fresh blueberries!”

“Don't believe Google!! These folks are open! Yes, it's about $5 a pound - but these are some excellent berries. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask where they suggest you start. They know where the best berries are! ... just check the website to be sure they are open in the day you want to come pick. If the berries aren't ripe, they will close.”

“The blueberries are amazing, but the people are even nicer. My entire family loves going there. We are treated better than family. Such sweet and amazing owners. The kids have a great time picking berries and we enjoy eating them for days. We plan to go often. Never been disappointed. Thank you Proctor family!!”

“This place is great! The woman Suzie was great with my daughter ad we had a blast. The berries are sweet, delicious and premium quality. This farm only does u-pick so you get better berries than somewhere where the let the commercial pickers come in first. Highly recommend!!”
