Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“It was amazing! Great for children with autism! The daughters talked with me and my daughters. I learned that the have brothers, Who by the way are still in school! This is a wonderful family activity! And wonderful family business. They have many different locations. Hopefully you can come out and enjoy like we have.”
“Loved cherry picking here..! Friendly staffs, delicious cherries and well organized farm.. It was delight to pick our own. The cherries were sweet and delicious, we enjoyed snacking on them while picking and left with full buckets :)”
“People are great at the farm. I love the trees are low and full of ripe cherries. My little one was so happy. $6.25 a pound for red ripe fresh cherries is totally worth it. I would like to go visit again”
“Terrific! Excellent cherries! Good free parking. Terrific place to share with friends and family. I've already recommended this place to friends, who also enjoyed it. Looking forward to next year.”
“Love this farm in Gilroy. First time visit. I think this place is nicer than Brentwood. It was not crowded when we visit. It doesn't provide a ladder. You pick and pay based on the weight.”
“Very Beautiful and really Great place Guys! Very cool People! Super sellers teenagers! And of course delicious cherries! Very DELICIOUS! 👍👏👏👏 Appreciate!! 🍒🙏🫂”
“Enjoy cherry-picking with comfortable farms then taste juicy cherries.”
“We visited Ranch 5 yesterday. We were told that tastings were not available, but later we saw other people eating and tasting inside. It felt unfair and gave the impression that we were being treated differently. In the end, we had to disappoint our kids and tell them there would be no tasting for us. Very disappointing experience.”
