Bowker Asian Pear Orchard

“Bowker Asian Pear Orchard is a little farm near Natomas. It's perfect for a summer fruit-picking adventure. The season kicks off around the first week of August. They offer both Japanese and Korean varieties of Asian pears. Mama Lou is wonderfully welcoming and takes the time to explain the differences between the varieties and how to choose the ripest ones. They even provide wagons to help carry your harvest if available. Pricing is very fair at $2.50 per pound or $25 for a 5-gallon bucket, which holds about 30 pounds of pears. Parking is free and plentiful. A wholesome outing for families or anyone who loves fresh, crisp fruit straight from the orchard!”
