What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Vermont, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Vermont.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

120 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Wonderful family, staff, and products! Always welcoming and there if you have a question. Whether you’re a tourist, or a regular local. Browns is the go- to place for quality, freshness, and variety. I grew up on a farm and can appreciate the hard work and dedication to a family- owned business. Big bonus*** you are buying from a business that doesn’t add toxic chemicals and preservatives to your food. Highly recommended!”

“Great homemade…pretty much everything along with local pride confections, jellies and baked goods. We loved the VT culture and the incredibly friendly Labrador who came up to us saying, “welcome to Brown’s, can I help you find anything yummy? I recommend the biscuits and cookies, I’ll sample one for you…” bring your friends and family from out of town, guaranteed to leave with a smile.”

“I wanted to mainly purchase fresh apples. This shop did not disappoint me in anyway. I am glad that I stopped to check it out. Clean, organized and friendly staff. Great experience.”

“We stopped to stretch our legs… 1 amazing peach pie, blueberries, and 2 fresh peaches later we were very happy campers!”

“Lovely little farmstand. Got a slice of delicious apple pie, some cider, and cider flavored donuts.”

“Fresh apples from cold storage in spring I love it they are amazing and so grateful to eat them”

“adorable and well set up. Really good apple cider and donuts. The baked goods are wonderful”

“I was looking forward to some good donuts which I've had at this place previously. However, what I got was different and not good. I am very disappointed and I paid way too much for this. I paid $8 for six donuts that I detest and I'm feeding to the birds. The poor birds.”
