“Nice family owned business with an older woman who seemed to be running things. She was very nice and when I asked to sample the apples she immediately cut open the two varieties I asked about. I tried honeycrisp and gala, we ended up buying the honeycrisp, the bag was $13 and had a nice amount of apples. The apples were not from this orchard and I don't know if she had any that were, they were shipped in from local orchards in North Carolina. You can tell these aren't apples that are prepared for the store, they are not waxed and there was small imperfections on most apples. The quality of the apples really varied in the bag, some were very juicy while some seemed dry. The flavor profile was about right on for honeycrisp, some were more tart and as usual some more sweet. My wife also bought some honey and a jelly of some sort, the honey was good although didn't seem to be quite as thick as we are used to. In all it was a nice visit and for a Saturday morning in late September there was a number of people there at opening. I enjoyed stopping by and sampling and buying the apples, would really like to be able to pick them but not sure if anyone local offered that.”

“We stopped at Bryson's Apple Orchard for apple picking and cider while visiting the area. Electricity had just been restored the evening before from Hurricane Helene. Due to the hurricane, they were limited of stock and sadly lost all the cider. Due to short staff they no longer have u-pick apples. Nevertheless, Mr. Bryson is a joy to talk with. He is extremely pleasant and offers great service. The apples, honey and jam we purchased are absolutely delicious! We look forward to visiting again when we are in the area and highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.”

“Going to that orchard brought back childhood memories of the last time I'd visited one. There are different jellies and jams, pickled items, cider, loads of different apples... You name it they had it. It was a great memory to rekindle with a family member. The lady that helped us with creating a box with different apple to be shipped was very nice. We will go back again before it's too late to get more. We purchased a big box of apples (variety), chow chow (hot and mild), Frog Jelly, and Moonshine Pickles. There's a lot more to try.”

“Beautiful setting at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Outstanding selection of seasonal fruit. We picked a variety of apples and all were delicious. Great day-outing for the kids. Finished our day down at the distillery where the kids enjoyed the rope swing and slip ‘n side.”

“This family owned orchard is lovely. They had an early freeze in March and sadly do not have a U-pick this year (there are literally no apples on their trees), but their farm stand is full of wonderful products!”

“Beautiful orchard, very good apples. Looks like a nice and safe place to visit in the charming fall days during this pandemic. We had a wonderful time there.”

“Wonderful selection of jams, honeys, cider and in season apple picking. A bit off the main drags so a unique and down to earth experience.”

“Even though their website says they’re open, the little stand said they didn’t have apple picking available and the little hut was blocked by tables. Unless we missed something, I feel like they should update their website to not say they’re open.”
