Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in South Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

74 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Had a very good experience at the farm. Visitors get a basket at the entrance of a farm and then they are free to move around and fill their basket as much as they want. We even had a few strawberries while doing so. Also, all this is for $14. We visited on 05/25 which was the last day the farm was open for strawberry picking for 2024. We were told the farm is usually open from the beginning of April till late May. But one must pay with cash. There is no option to pay with a card. The strawberries are sweet, and a basket full is a lot of it. A really good way to spend quality tike with family.”

“We're just leaving here now. I'm glad I didn't pay any attention to the previous reviewers. From the minute we pulled up Ms. Trudy was an absolute delight!! She guided us to the most beautiful Strawberries we've ever seen. It wasn't over crowded and the berries are delicious!! I highly recommend trying them for yourselves!!”

“Strawberry picking is something we enjoy annually and this is the first year we've become aware of Buck and Ann's. Their strawberries are so delicious that we've enjoyed three baskets of strawberries over the last 6 weeks. I love that they have the option of pre-picked baskets at times. Will definitely be back next year.”

“So much fun! $16 for already picked, $14 for picking. We did the pick yourself option and this was our basket. It was so much fun! Buck and Ann are very kind. Totally recommend! Gotta get there before May is over though.”

“As a homeschool mom, I enjoy taking my son there for our spring field trip. We use this as a farm to table experience and make baked goods with the strawberries we pick.”

“Great little strawberry patch! Strawberries are juicy and delicious!”

“We had the best time! Tons of ripe strawberries!”

“I never leave reviews, but our experience warrants one. The staff was very rude. Directions were unclear, then the ladies were rude about correcting people… there’s always a way of saying things. When our 86 year old grandpa said the price was a little high, the lady told him he could go somewhere else then. When we arrived, the lady was chewing food & talking on the phone, so communication was very unclear. Then, you could only pick from 1 area, which would’ve been fine, except there were a good bit of people there. Also, a good bit of strawberries were not ripe or they were mushy. Not a very good experience for $14 a basket, no option for pre-picked, & some of the rudest employees I’ve ever met.”
