Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Utah.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Burgess orchard is a beautiful location right in the heart of Alpine! I have photographed at this orchard many times and love that it’s not too far and the orchard is beautiful. My clients love this location! Rachel is wonderful to work with and quick to respond. I will definitely photograph here again. My family and I look forward to the fall harvest and festivals.”

“This is a very popular place. When we arrived there wasn't a parking problem and the line was short but it changed pretty quickly. The line got very long. The Sundaes are really good!”

“We went on a Tuesday night around 6:45 and it wasn’t too busy when we go there. The peach ice cream was great! Will be coming back to try the apple pie and cherry pie icecream.”

“Fresh fruit on ice cream. Very delicious and not too sweet. In peach or cherry pie. They also have delicious apple cider slushes, you can add ice cream as well.”

“Fun little place to snag fresh produce like peaches, apples, tomatoes. The peach sundae left us underwhelmed. The fresh peaches weren't super sweet and no other toppings with it than a little whipped cream. The apple pie sundae was better than the peach because they included a crumble and a caramel sauce. Canned apple filling and cherry filling though... I feel like this place isn't anything super special.”

“I may have an unpopular opinion, but the peach shake is overrated. Not sure if it's because it's early July and the peaches are not super sweet yet or if it's just how they always are. It's peach, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, nothing that special. HOWEVER, their cherry shake is DELICIOUS, they really should be famous for their cherry shake instead, and this is coming from a peach lover 😄”

“Cool hangout spot! Moved to the area and seen this place always crowded in the evening. Went there with my kids to check it out! Ordered the peach sundae. It was nothing extravagant but vanilla ice cream with peaches in it—just wish the peaches were colder. It was room temperature warm with ice cream. It was good though! Can’t wait to try more things on the menu.”

“Went to for the apple pie sundae and peach. You could tell the ice cream was homemade and the fruit was the star of the show. They sold a lot of fruits and veggies as well. Parking wasn’t too bad. It was free road parking. You might have to walk a little bit to though. Now that I’ve been here I probably won’t go again but it was a fun experience to try!”
