What you can pick
In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Georgia, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Georgia.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Our family went here for the first time last night and had a wonderful time. A young man helped me pick out the best half-peck of peaches to make a cobbler and my daughter selected two zucchinis to make zucchini bread. We ordered single cups of their delicious churned ice cream and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the peach and Butterfinger flavors. We walked the grounds with our two Westies and enjoyed looking at the antique car collection and vintage signs. My daughter and I even took a few rounds on the swings! All in all a great place. Reasonable prices and very family friendly!”

“My husband and I look forward to place opening up every summer. The homemade ice cream is so good and we both love the blueberry ice cream the most. The place is so pretty with old cars, beautiful picnic tables, and gorgeous plants and other decorations. The staff are very nice and the service is great. Well worth a visit for fresh produce, great ice cream, and southern hospitality.”

“Such a wonderful down home orchard. They offer so much variety in their stands, and let's not forget all those wonderful flavors of ice cream. On top of other foods. S cool shade tree or picnic table to set at and a antique looking homestead with lots of things to see. Might be out of way for some, but it's worth a day trip to visit. Yum Yum ICE cream dream.”

“It's been several years since I've been by, but I make sure to add it to our stops anytime we are in the area. The fresh peaches and honey are always perfect. The homemade peach ice cream is still phenomenal! And wonderful hospitality as always! Thank you, see you next trip...”

“Grew up in barney. Lived there most of my life and though many things have changed there's one thing that never will. This will always be the best peach shed in South Georgia and I will always be back for boiled peanuts and homemade ice cream from these kind amazing people.”

“We came for peaches and bought a half bushel of the top end peaches. They looked great. Within a day or two they started softening up. Every peach was mealy with no flavor and not juicy. We had to throw them all away. The cantelopes were big and delicious! The homemade icecream was fabulous.”
