Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Went to this pumpkin patch yesterday with my wife and son, hadnt ever been to one before so let me say in the day time we picked the pumpkins out which they had a good selection, we treated ourselves to some delicious cotton candy and the people were so helpful and kind with good prices… at night we came back to go through the haunted maze which was pretty good! Good actors, screaming kids hahaha and cool vibes with music and burgers and such.. don’t forget the BAR! Hahah good times!”

“This place is really nice to get out of the house and outdoors. There are lots of activities for the kids; slide, bounce raft, zip swing, pumpkin catapult, corn maze, and other fun stuff plus a decent supply of pumpkins, we went on a weekday. There is also food, hamburgers and hotdogs. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. I would recommend this place to take kids to.”

“We loved our visits here in the fall for the Pumpkin Patch and had just as much fun for the Easter Event! Such a cute set up and great deal! Considering just to get one picture with the Easter bunny at the balls runs $40-60. My kiddos loved the Easter egg hunt, all the animals, the bounce pad, and the slide. Looking forward to more fun events at Cherry Acres!”
