Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Hands down country pumpkins is the best patch around! Their staff is friendly and welcoming. There are so many activities for all ages! They add new things every year making it bigger and better every time we go! The little ones love the barrel train and the activities at their pumpkin ridge area with the animals. We love the kettle corn and chunkin pumpkin activity! We always have a great time and it’s a family tradition to celebrate fall and enjoy the farm!”

“Hay rides, turbo slide, pumpkins, more pumpkins, sand area, a few animals, corn maze... A great afternoon Lack of masks, (personally almost felt normal and whole again) enough free or budget friendly options that you can have happy kids and parents. More to do than listed/pictured. 5 star ratings shouldnt be given as often as they are.. i think this place is better than many.”

“What a charming farm with so many fun fall things! Great for adults and kids, prices are very reasonable and there are lots of things to see and do. Parking was easy and the staff were very friendly. I loved picking my own pumpkin off the vine out of the very large patch, but my favorite thing was feeding a baby cow! Great experience overall, highly recommend!”

“Country Pumpkins has been our favorite place to go for many, many years on our Pumpkin Patch adventures! They have great prices (a lot is free!), so many different activities for all ages, and they are some of the most kind people we’ve met. They’re always adding to their farm and it’s ALWAYS so much fun! We definitely recommend visiting them.”

“Our “homeschool day” visit was a delight! The owner and his staff were organized and friendly with the 150 people that were touring that day. Three times the activities that we’ve seen at other pumpkin patches. My boys loved the turbo slides! Very long, scenic hay ride (great value!) and they actually grow their own pumpkins. Worth a visit!”

“Staff was friendly, cost friendly, and lots to do. The Pumpkin Catapults were really cool. And we all really enjoyed the petting zoo. The Goats were really cool. This is fun for the whole family. I suggest the "Fun Pass". We will be back next year”

“The young children had so much fun. There was a children village to play in, lots of slides to come down, and corn mazes that kept them entertained. And of course, they selected a pumpkin to take home. It wasa fun day.”

“We take my kids every year on one of their homeschool days. They do a really good job at having lots of fun stations for the kids to explore all around the farm. You should definitely give it a visit.”
