Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“So, good things first. There was a wide selection of pumpkins. I had no idea how far the farm went back. It was a lovely place to just go and walk and be in nature. There was a little creek that ran through the property that was very peaceful. My main complaints are the state of the patch itself and the price of the pumpkins under the tent. It was like the patch has never been weeded - large weeds growing everywhere that created an awful undergrowth. Also a nightmare for someone with allergies. Additionally, the pumpkins didn’t seem to be planted in rows with clear paths in between the plants. I ended up not going into the patches at all off of the path, because I was very concerned about ticks, snakes, and other unsavory critters. I have also seen higher quality pumpkins at other patches, which made the price of some of the pre-picked pumpkins in the tent seem excessive. It would be the same price for one kind of pumpkin regardless of its weight. The patch, however, charged per pound. However, at $.65 a pound it was kind of a lot. But, there was no entry fee for the atmosphere. So that somewhat makes up for the price. I could see this being a five star pumpkin patch. There were a lot of cute photo spots and great atmosphere and great farm space. Honestly, if they would just plant the pumpkins in rows and keep the patches weeded, this would be an excellent pumpkin patch.”

“It was an okay place to visit, but the pumpkin selection was pretty sparse and everything cost quite a bit of cash. I know places like this need to make money somehow but I felt like the cost of the corn maze and hayride were just way too high.”

“They were closed at 3:30. The hours on the gate indicate that they are open 10-6 7 days a week. I waited for 30 minutes. About 5 other people did the same thing. Some friends came from out of town and we were really excited to go. They need to communicate more efficiently.”
