What visitors say

“Our High School class had our 65th reunion at Crabtree and we all had a wonderful time. I was the contact person between Crabtree and our reunion committee. Everything went off without a hitch. The event center was ideal in that it is convenient, easy access for elderly folks, safe and free parking! Everyone on the Crabtree staff bent over backward to help in making our event very easy to pull off. If you need a high class, fancy venue this won't work, but if you want a laid back easy place to gather this is the place. Also - you are not going to find an event venue like this for the money anywhere. Great value.”

“Smaller space perfect for DIL's baby shower. It's a bit sketchy going through the older neighborhood, but just keep going! The venue has a nice kitchen and it's well stocked. The space itself is nicely decorated and the bathrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. They have garage roll up doors that I imagine would be nice in the spring but they provided really nice natural lighting. Everything we needed to clean up was available. I didn't get any photos of the outside but unloading and loading was easily accessible.”

“Crabtree Farms is such a beautiful, welcoming place. The grounds are gorgeous and full of life, and the whole space has a peaceful, creative vibe to it. We were so grateful to be able to use the property and it really speaks to their commitment to community. Highly recommend visiting or supporting them however you can!”

“Class was full of good content with written content to take home as well as hands on training in class. She went above and beyond to make the class calm, comfortable and relaxing. Would highly recommend this class. She even follows up to check on your first final product.”

“Lia's warm season flower garden workshop was fantastic! I am a seasoned gardener, and yet I learned so much. Lia provided a thorough resource list for purchasing her favorite flowers, and a lovely personal touch specific to growing in the SouthEast.”

“I had never been here before. I showed up for Scenic City Shakespeare free plays in the park. This was a great venue with community gardens.”

“This farm is a wonderful neighbor in the community. They offer so many different events and workshops. I love the native plants they sell”

“I recommend against using Crabtree Farms as a wedding venue. Melissa tried to teach us a lesson by revoking our air conditioning privileges on the very hot day of our wedding. Since we neglected to turn off the AC the night before, the groom was made to ask nicely for permission to cool the space after guests were already arriving to an 85° event space. I would say that's an inappropriate time to impose a lesson and power trip (no pun intended) over perhaps $3 worth of electricity. Much worse, we neglected to consider the consequences of holding our event on farmland that uses no forms of pesticides. The outdoor areas were 100% infested with mosquitoes and we were specifically prohibited from allowing our guests to use chemical insect repellent. As a result, my bride spent much of the honeymoon seeking urgent care for recurrent swelling and hives resulting from -and this is not an exaggeration- hundreds and hundreds of mosquito bites. The amount of insects was unlike anything I'd ever seen and made me nauseous during portraits. It was an extreme challenge to get through photos while the couple and photographer are both being swarmed. I would like to have been made aware of this known issue with the property. While the message of Crabtree was a motivating factor in our decision to be there that day, the acts and impositions of organic superiority were absolutely a challenge for us to enjoy our special day.”
