Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This blackberry farm is AMAZING and you MUST come here! Free parking, no entrance fee and $10 a pound. You will have to give a call ahead of time before arrival, just around 20-30 min. We came in on a Wednesday around 4:45 PM and the parking lot was empty, but once we checked in past the white shed, there are PLENTIFUL of berry bushes to harvest from, just rows and rows of black berries. I believe the farm is family owned, the gentlemen we spoke with is awesome and very welcome! Notified us there are around 15 rows of black berries with a few varieties to choose from and we were more than welcome to try the various berries as we plucked them. The rows stretch far back and the owner was right, some berries were tart, others sweet, some a mix of both. This season, the farm expects to have (all organic) blackberries, figs, honey and cage free eggs. Next season, the farm expects to have an additional blueberry garden to harvest from as well. It was really fun exploring different rows and plucking the berries right off the stem, concluding the day with 3.2 lbs of black berries right at 6pm. Definitely recommend stopping by if you can, it was a great experience and we will be back soon!”

“I was so so impressed with this farm! I went with my mom and my nephews, one of whom has nonverbal autism. The staff was so welcoming and very supportive with my family and my nephew. There were plenty of blackberries and the staff was also very informative on the different varieties, hybrids, and with helping with how to pick. I would give 10 stars if I could as I was so so impressed with my experience at this farm. After picking the blackberries and having great conversation with one of the members of staff, he even took my nephew and us to see the baby chickens and told us all about the backstory of this place. They’re very community based and it was amazing to see a place that is truly just excited to have members of the community be part of it. Loved that there was no sign up for slots or limited availability, all we had to do was call to let them know we were coming! I will absolutely be back and will tell anyone who will listen about our awesome experience!”

“James and I visited Dallas Organic Blackberry Farm for the first time, and we absolutely loved the experience! The gentleman who helped us was incredibly kind, friendly, generous and welcoming. His passion for what he does truly shines through, and he shared so much knowledge about the different varieties of berries grown on the farm. We especially appreciate that everything is organically grown. It was wonderful learning more about the berries and the farming process. We brought home some fresh & frozen berries home which were delicious! I can’t wait to make my smoothies at home. Thank you for such a pleasant and memorable visit. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this farm to anyone looking for fresh, organic berries and a genuine farm experience! 🍇🫐❤️”

“It was a great experience! We loved getting to meet Robbie and hearing his enjoyment for the blackberries. They're open at great times for us to come before or after a work day. It's a great pick-me-up if you're wanting a bit of nature & a sweet treat! I love what they're doing here and will definitely come back :) They even have some small picnic tables for us to sit! Next time I'll bring a little picnic to enjoy with my fresh blackberries!”

“Very nice we have such a fun time. Very nice to do something different in the weekend. The guy was very kind and he allowed to taste blackberries before picking them because eat rows tast different. Which was very fun. You just need to walk a little bit further to find more blackberries.”

“all the great reviews and called them to check if they were open and there were any blackberries to pick … row after row of a few tiny red and few leftover berries - 2-8 unusable ones on most bushes!! We drove for a couple hours through traffic. Five of us and no berries to pick!!! they should have informed us when we called. two ladies seemed to have picked a quarter bucket before. us and said you have to look really HARD!!! i understand this is nature but not being accurately informed was an unbelievable waste of time. This is tiny amount from 5 people looking through 80% of the bushes…Two ladies who started prior to us probably picked a couple pounds of the last good fruit. No other customers. My husband walked around with the owner/manager but they could find anything but very little dried up fruits!! Honestly they shouldn’t be open for pick your own with no ready fruits on the bushes! Also, the place in a very tight area between construction mounds/debris and build-up area. Ok place to just pick blueberries in season - call and confirm before you go. It is definitely not a place for picnic or recreation. Not scenic, no farm appeal or ambiance. Not negative but a matter of fact! They don’t spray “as far as possible” is also not the same as they are strictly organic and do not spray harmful chemicals.”
