“I cannot say enough wonderful things about this horse farm. I’ve boarded with Dark Horse Farms for five years, and in that time I’ve seen firsthand the level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness they bring to everything they do. The farm is ran by an incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable husband‑and‑wife team who truly care about both their horses and their clients. Every horse on the property is exceptionally sweet and well‑mannered — I trust my own children around them, even unsupervised, and that says everything. They’ve brought three of their horses to Girl Scout camp for us, and each one was so calm and gentle they practically fell asleep while being brushed. Their stud, Titan, is an absolute sweetheart — lovable, kind, and not intimidating in the slightest. Erica is fantastic with communication. She texts me updates about my horse and is always happy to send pictures or videos whenever I ask. They pay close attention to each horse’s individual needs, whether it’s daily care, administering medication, or helping a horse safely gain weight. You can truly tell they treat every horse like their own. This farm is built on trust, kindness, and exceptional horsemanship. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and professional environment for their horses.”

The facilities are top-notch—well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully set up for both horses and riders. What truly sets this place apart is Jim and Erica. Their extensive knowledge and experience shine through in every interaction. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or newer to the horse world, they take the time to share their expertise, answer questions, and make sure both you and your horse are comfortable and well cared for. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it reflects in the atmosphere of the farm. It’s a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment that you don’t find just anywhere. Highly recommend Dark Horse Farm & Boarding to anyone looking for exceptional care and a great community! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“We lived next to Erica and Jim for many years. Best neighbors you could ask for. Always eager to help anyway needed. We loved having their horses in our back yard. It was great to see them get their new place and build their dream of owning the beautiful black Friesian horses! Beautiful stables, plenty of room for the horses to run. You can see Erica’s compassion for them when she’s with them. Highly recommended!!!!”

“Erika and Jim care deeply about the horses and providing them the care and love they need! All their horses are well trained and just the most loving beings. I personally rode Ren for her first ride under saddle as a green filly and never once was I nervous or scared for how the horse would react. All their horses are show the love, care, and respect they deserve as members of our families!”
