What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Virginia, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Virginia.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Best dang blueberry patch I’ve been to so far! Charges a fair price, lots of delicious blueberries and is super friendly! Just give them a call before you want to go so he can open the gate for you!”
“Great visit today with the kids. Can't beat the price for a gallon of blueberries. Beautiful location off the beaten path. Don't claim to be organic but they do not spray anything on the berries.”
“What a great "get out of the house" thing to do. Great weather, super nice host! Prices very reasonable!”
