Dexter Cider Mill

“2022.10.01 Saturday Who doesn't love fresh made cider and donuts?!? Literally watching them fill the gallon jugs!!! The smells are indicative of the Fall season that's here! Love coming to the Dexter cider mill. You can also find selections of jams, honey, hard ciders among other goodies on the shelves. Our usual for a weekend is a gallon of cider plus mix of cinnamon and plain donuts. This time around we also grabbed a loaf of homemade sourdough bread from Wild Rose Breads to try. For the cooler evenings ahead, curl up with some warm cider in the evenings with a bit of rum in it, a book and blanket, either inside by a fireplace or outside with a bonfire. Be ready for the lines on weekends. Today was in and out about 20 minutes that included the wait....not too bad for a Saturday!”

“I thought there were amazing donuts and great cider three donuts and 1 pint came to $8.50 cash. everything‘s getting so expensive. I thought Trump was gonna fix it all. I guess he lied, but it’s also a mom and Pop place They’re not like corporate McDonald’s that buys so much in bulk they can push out the Mom and pop stores. I read that another reviewer said that there were lots of wasp flying around here? They’re everywhere in Michigan! yesterday I was delivering for DoorDash and a wasp came into my car and was on my back shoulder and stung me and I almost had a car accident. That was an Ypsilanti. I came here on a Wednesday at 4 o’clock, and there was no line there wasn’t one person in front of me.”

“Take the scenic drive from Main Street Ann Arbor on Huron river drive to dexter for the best apple cider anywhere. And don’t forget the donuts. Went back for more cider and doughnuts…excellent as always. Huron river drive was beautiful. You know you can freeze cider just pour some off the top for expansion and freeze it.”

“I've moved from Michigan, but when I was there for a few years, this was THE best cider mill in the A2 area and the best donut as well; getting a little sad writing this review as I think back on it; if you're in the area in Fall, stop by and grab a donut and some cider, it's worth it!”

“This place has the absolute best apple cider!!! Not much for little children to do here but the scenery is beautiful, donuts and slushes were excellent . We took a very nice picture by the river behind the mill and there are things to do around the cute little town.”

“The cider mill had a charming, rustic feel. The cider slushy was the best I’ve had! The donuts were okay, though nothing out of the ordinary, and the caramel apple was classic but tasty. Everything was enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back. There’s a small seating area out back with a lovely view of the river, adding a peaceful touch to the experience.”
