Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Illinois.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The bad reviews certainly do not reflect the experience I had with my wife and toddler today. It was great. We spent $18 and our daughter got to ride a pony, go down a slide, ride the merry-go-round, and ride the train. Lines were long. We wanted a snack but didnt want to wait so we skipped it. Workers mostly didn't smile but it didn't impact our experience at all. Most workers we saw were just kids probably doing temp work. No problems. We'll definitely go again! Lots to do!”

“Didier Farms is our favorite fall destination! We visit every year, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is absolutely magical — from the beautiful decorations and pumpkin displays to the friendly animals our daughter loves so much. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a true fall experience with family — cozy, festive, and full of joy. We can’t imagine autumn without a visit to Didier Farms! 🧡🍁”

“Nice place to visit when you don't have enough time to drive out into the country. It's a bit more pricey but it turns experience of visiting a farm into a half-day experience versus an all day event. Rides are priced Per ticket so each ride is about $3. The donuts were fantastic and I highly recommend the apple cider donuts”

“Always happy to come here with the kids. Lots to do and see. Every year we have fun picking out our pumpkins, and the apple cider is the best. The camel and pony rides are always top for my kids, this year they have a hayride so that was extra fun to go on.”

“This place will satisfy all your autumn needs, expect pumpkin spice faps lol! Make sure to bring cash, because this place only takes cash. They have pumpkins—a lot, in different varieties. The prices are affordable—0.69 per pound. This year the pumpkins were really big, but they still have mini ones in the shop if you want them. There is a lot of activities for family and children, especially rides and animals. One thing to note is that it’s hard to find parking sometimes due to how many families came but otherwise I had no problems. I didn’t purchase any food but there is a limited variety for food here. Would recommend for families with small children. This place is only active for the fall season, so hurry and go before you miss it.”

“The place is fine with pumpkin festival, not super overpriced, but more child friendly in my opinion, not really like an adult place. The pumpkin season vibe is amazing. We did corn maze. There should be more food options. We were queuing in the donut line for like half an hour, and by the time we replaced the order, most of the donuts were already gone.”

“Went here last week on a weekday for the fall festival! It was nice and the staff were super friendly and amazing! We did the corn maze and a camel ride which was very fun! This is a great place to take the kids. However, if you have a lot of kids, the price might end up adding up.”

“Been going here for years. Great apple cider donuts. Lots of pumpkin varieties. Fun carnival rides for small kids. They no longer have the haunted hayride anymore though and they don't have much Halloween decor for sale anymore. We still had fun.”
