“We went blueberry picking midday on a Saturday, the day after a big rain storm. While the ground was marshy and muddy in places, the blueberries were fat and ripe and plentiful. Four of us picked five quarts with a piesurly 40 minutes of picking. And now we all have tones of blueberries for baking and pancakes needs for the foreseeable future. The picking was fun, easy, and at $8 a quart for chemical-free blueberries, it's very reasonable. Also, there are often pre-picked blueberries available at a higher price if you're in a hurry. The stand operates on the honor system and Venmo is an option of you don't carry cash. There's parking for up to about 10 vehicles, so it's likely there will be space for you when you go, as we never saw more than 6 cars parked at a time. I suggest freezing any you don't plan on using within a couple of weeks of picking. Frozen blueberries are great for making pancakes, blueberry syrup, or jam.”
