Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I first started coming to this farm (specifically for pumpkin picking) in 2013. One thing I have to say is how incredible the consistency has been since. Every year you are greeted with many smiling faces who are eager to help you have the best experience on their family farm. This is the main thing you will not get with going to a large, “commercialized” farm nearby. If you are looking for a genuine, wholesome, low-key fall activity this is 100% the place to go.”

“Tons of fresh delicious veggies, tomatoes, blueberries, the corn is always everybody’s favorite but I need all of it, all the time. Maple syrup, Apple Butter - they’ve got fresh meats and cheeses from a partner farm too - I usually get all my basil and herbs here in July too. The family who runs it is A+ and so are the people who check us out at the register. Locals get a discount punch card, it’s tucked in a hidden valley - already waiting for July 2025”

“A must to go purchase produce, flowers and more from Dykeman Farm in Pawling. The quality and selection are outstanding, but equally important, the 4th generation farmstand is a tradition from which we should all support and feed our family and friends. Our favorites include: tomatoes, corn, honeycrisp apples, multicolored peppers, jalapinos, onions, baby potatoes, squash as well as their selection of Millbrook Beef & Dairy steaks, eggs and more.”

“Lovely farm with warm hearted people. This is the place to go for apples, corn, pumpkins, 🌻sunflowers, apple cider, mmmm Donuts and much more. Hop on the hayride to take you up to the fields where you are free to roam around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. My family and I will definitely be back soon for more!”

“For the past 8 years we’ve been coming here. This place is a gem! It takes a family to give you that family feel and the Dykeman family makes certain of that! Real pumpkin patches, not laid out pumpkins, hayrides, sunflower mazes, corn pit and more. Surrounded by real farmers you’ll forget you’re in NY.”

“Quaint and family friendly. The farm & pumpkin patch in the era of 2025 that still feels authentic. Not too marketing gimmicky. Not too commercialized. Drink, Snack & hotdogs menus arent crazy price. In fact the price is very reasonable. Wholeheartedly luv this place.”

“Spent about 45 minutes here and it was really pleasant. Pumpkins are ¢.75/pound, so not too bad! There’s some food and some space to walk around. Bring cash.”
