Echo Springs Blueberry Farm

“This place is truly a gem! I have so many fond memories of picking blueberries in East Texas as a kid, so I wanted to spend my birthday making those same memories with my own family. With acres of several intensely flavored blueberry varieties growing across the beautiful property, our experience at Echo Springs was picture-perfect. Their berries taste five times more like blueberries than anything you'll find at the grocery store. Then there's the gift shop and bakery filled with freshly made blueberry treats—our favorite was the blueberry ice cream—many made from matriarch Phyllis Vaseleniuck's decades-old recipes. Her son, Scott, who has taken over the farm, was incredibly kind and welcoming, as was his sister, who was visiting from Canada to help during the season. They even gave our daughter a coloring book, which absolutely made her day. Small family farms like this were once the lifeblood of our communities.Visiting Echo Springs feels like stepping back to a time when farms were places to gather, make memories, and enjoy food that was grown with care. We loved our visit, and we'll definitely be back!”

“Huge farm. Blueberries are very sweet! Happy with what we got! They provide buckets and plastic bags to collect blueberries and blackberries. Wear closed toe shoes unless you like wet feet. There are limited hand washing stations and portable potties available. Decent amount of parking available. There are a few outdoor benches and seating. The mini shop is cute with jams, honey, baked goods and icecream! Please note that there are no pets, or large bags allowed. *Went there for the second year and they expanded! We enjoyed our visit and got a lot of large sweet blueberries by the pound!”

“A neat place to go located outside of Athens that is different from anywhere I have been. The staff were friendly and informative about the farm overall. They also have a store located on the property that sells blueberry everything, even blueberry coffee. There are plenty of opportunities to pick blueberries as they have multiple rows of berries. Great experience for kids above the age of 5 or 6 as well as a fun outing for adults. Will be back again. It was a great first-time experience overall.”

“I love this Blueberry farm. We enjoy the pick under the hot sun, and there is a place for us to chill, eat a scoop of ice cream and rest after the picking. The price to pick the blueberries is reasonable. We managed to speak to one of the staff there and learnt so much about their farm and nature of blueberries. A day of educational fun trip.”

“We took our four-year-old granddaughter to Echo Springs Blueberry Farm to see where her favorite fruit snack comes from. She enjoyed picking them for about 10 minutes, then she wanted ice cream... Excellent place to buy or pick. The prices in July were quite reasonable!”

“Highly Recommend! Very family oriented. Excellent Blueberry Pastries and there is a Blue Bell Blue Berry Ice Cream you must try. There was so much room and so many blueberries . Don’t rush but go early due to the sun. I recommend long socks and a hat.”

“Wide open fresh air and tons and tons of blueberries. The friendly store was full of neat stuff too. I picked three full buckets-two blueberries and one blackberries! Great times all around!”
