“I LOVE this farm! Every year it’s a countdown on my calendar to their spring opening. I have never been unhappy with anything I have purchased. Anne has the most beautiful, unique, healthy plants in the state. Their staff is knowledgeable and eager to help me with my color choice and even help me with design in my garden. Everything is expensive these days but you get what you pay for and i have never regretted a single purchase from Edgewater Farm! I find great joy after a long dark winter, to walk into their greenhouses filled with color and beauty❤️ It’s a wonderful place and I can’t wait for opening day😊”

“Year after year, at every point in the season, Edgewater is my favorite place to browse for new plants or pick up fresh food. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable—they are happy to point me toward what I need for different areas of my garden, containers, companion plants, etc., and the plants always are healthy and thrive after going in. It’s also a treat to shop at the stand because the displays are beautiful and maintained with care. Highly recommend.”

“Excellent selection of a vast variety of plants from annuals to perennials and beyond. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was looking for a particular variety of kale and the first person I talked to walked me directly to the product. The pottery section is loaded with interesting designs.”

“Great plants, and generally staff were helpful but this one older woman was strangely obsessed with me while I was trying to pay for the plants I chose. She asked me my name, where I was from, wanted to shake my hand, and had little concept of personal space. She talked at length about her family, and gave lengthy details about their business, and made lengthy comments about the plants I chose. I did not want to chat or share my personal information and this angered her. What made this even stranger was she did this when other people were in line. It wasn’t like I was the only customer there. I told her several times I did not want to discuss my name, where I was from or touch her or discuss personal details. She had a hard time understanding professional boundaries and did not respect my boundaries, or the fact I was a customer and did not want to talk about my personal details. I told her some people don’t like doing that and she refused to accept that and demanded it. She countered with “Well, we here are into that here.” I think perhaps she got confused and forgot I was a customer and thought in her own mind was marrying into her family or was somehow becoming a member of her family. I am not and have absolutely zero interest in any of that. I just wanted to buy a few plants. I would have given this one star as her behavior was completely unacceptable as people have a right to not share personal information or details, touch people or be touched by them. Yet she became belligerent, and condescending when I did not want to touch her or share my personal information. But - their plants are nice so I gave them two stars. Perhaps this rating will be enough to have a chat with their employees and stress basic professional behavior. I also wanted to let others know about this odd event so they can be prepared if it happened to them or choose it’s not worth risking to have to deal with and go to another greenhouse.”

“⭐️ If I could give this place negative 5 stars, I would. My wife, our 2-month-old daughter, and her friend went here to enjoy what should’ve been a peaceful, family-friendly outing to pick strawberries. Instead, they were met with nothing but disrespect from the staff for the entirety of their visit. From the moment they arrived, the tone was cold, rude, and completely unwelcoming. They weren’t treated like paying customers — or even like human beings. The staff's attitude was uncalled for and frankly shameful. This is not how you treat guests, let alone a mother with an infant. There are plenty of other farms and businesses that would gladly welcome respectful families and appreciate their business. We will never be back — and I’ll make sure our friends, family, and community know exactly how we were treated. Do better.”

“First visit is surely my last. We picked for about an hour and a half and left with barely one full quart of strawberries each. Jen berated us for picking in the row beside ours and made a scene in front of other families who were also scrounging to find a few good berries. As the surrounding adults and children watched in disbelief, we apologized and moved back to the row she pointed at. She then proceeded to broadcast our mistake to the other women working there and we were further chastised during the checkout process. I understand everyone has a bad day, but there was no reason to treat us that way for an honest mistake. I’m happy that I did not bring any of my children with me because no one should be subjected to that kind of behavior.”

“Terrible experience here strawberry picking… an older woman and her team stand over you with their walkie talkies and watch your every move. They have an enormous field full of berries but force you to pick from a single bush. When we moved from that spot instead of explaining the rules ( which mind you aren’t written anywhere) she approached and condescendingly scolded us in front of everyone. We since visited Wellwood Orchard for strawberry picking and had a completely opposite experience. Would definitely recommend a drive there instead.”
