Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

What visitors say

20 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“I have done business with this nursery many times the past three years and feel qualified to make the following statements: The selection of pawpaws and persimmons is outstanding. The customer service is superior in helping customers select the right varieties for their climate. Cliff England is so very knowledgeable on all the varieties offered. Unlike many nurseries, this nursery grows their own plants, and they do well. Additionally, unlike many big nurseries, they package plants very well, and they ship very healthy stock. You won't ever get a dead stick from these guys! When I called to make changes to my orders, or get information they took the time to help. This is a wonderful small business and I recommend England's without reservation.”

“Great operation. The diversity of top quality species and cultivars is awesome. Cliff took the time to show us what he had in stock and talked us through what our best options were after we told him what we were thinking. He even took the time to give us a bit of a tour. Highly recommended. This place will be my first stop for any fruit or nut trees.”

“Placed order in March 2019. Plants shipped to Utah April 2019. Good quality, trees healthy, nice root systems. Nice, big buds on them, not small and dried up like fall dug trees. I'm very excited to plant and grow these Persimmon trees...England's got them here safe & sound...now the rest is up to me!”

“I have bought about 7 large paw paw trees, and pecan trees , as well as bulk seeds over the past 2 years. I have been happy with the size, vigor, variety, price and customer service! I just wish they were closer, so I could visit, as I am on the East coast.”

“A wonderful family run business, offering quality in everything they sell. Cliff is wonderful to deal with and shares very educational content through his media pages too. The chestnuts I bought from him tasted great and had a high germination rate.”

“Cliff was very kind and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and share his passion for growing fruit trees. The seedlings I got from him are awaiting planting this fall. Thanks Cliff!”

“So many varieties to choose from all on 3 farms. Delicious fruits you won't find anywhere else. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right selection of plants for you.”

“It was a great experience visiting the orchard and meeting so many pawpaw Fanatics! What an amazing place!”
