“Today, my wife and I decided to do something we've never done before, we went blueberry picking. We didn't know where to go, so we googled "blueberry farm near us" and Estes Blueberry Farm was only 10 miles away in Buxton, Me. The drive to Estes was really easy and since it was late Saturday afternoon there was hardly any traffic. The farm was beautiful! The owners, Don and Gwen, were really friendly. The many blueberry bushes were filled with ripe and sweet berries. The Estes provides the buckets or boxes to put your berries in. The best part, you can take your time picking. There is no time limit and you can pick as much or as little as you like. You are charged by the pound. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking to pick their own sweet Maine blueberries! I suggest you call first before going to make sure they are open. Their schedule varies depending on the availability and ripeness of the berries.”
“I love picking at Estes and have for years! The berries are so tasty and very easy to pick as they’re high bush and plentiful. Mr. & Mrs. Estes were great about telling me the different varieties of blueberries that they have. It was very easy for my grandchildren to help pick and the fields are beautiful and well maintained. They post on their site when they are open for picking and they are easy to find with marked road signs. Give them a try!”

Our goal each year is to pick an overabundance so we can use them in recipes, but they’re so tasty, we normally eat them before we get a chance to cook with them. The farm is beautiful, the blueberries are delicious and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend this place!”
