What visitors say

“Filbert Street Gardens is incredible! The most glorious natural haven that one can go to to enjoy loving and beautiful animals and plants. They host super welcoming events for both fun and learning for folks of any age. They have been making major advancements and soon will have buildings and fully functional bathrooms! I rented a plot there for 3 years and it's beyond amazing. They have all the supplies you'll need and all they ask is you return them to their neat little shed. I adore the goats and sweetest cat named Pumpkin Spice. Water features and picnic benches where one can relax and have some nature in the big city. It is my ultimate get away and honestly it's the one thing I will miss when I move away. Don't miss out taking your chance to support and visit this amazing haven!”

“****Protect this garden at all costs!!!! **** Filbert Street Garden is an actual Oasis in Baltimore! The community members were kind enough to educate us outsiders on the things that they actively do to create tangible and sustainable health outcomes in the South Baltimore community. It was all beautiful 😍 proving that a little bit of love and hard work can go a long way. I went as part of an educational field trip with my University, but I want to go back. My son would absolutely enjoy it. I learned so much, and if these same strategies were implemented across all of Maryland, we could potentially reduce all carbon emissions, increase better air quality, and have better health outcomes for all people from all walks of life...”

“So I've actually never been inside, but we walk our dog by here every day. Every single person we've met who volunteers their time here is so kind, and obviously very passionate. We love that there's a food pantry and free little library, which showcases their love for the community. It's a cute spot to take your kids and feed goats!”

“This is a great place to go and spend some of your free time. They have goats and all different kinds of ducks, chickens and turkeys. The best part is pumpkin spice (the best farm cat) she is so friendly. They recently put a hand washing station in. This is a great asset to the community.”

“I go for a morning walk everyday with a really good friend of mine and look forward to feeding the goats and the sheep every morning I feed him carrots and it's just really brightens my day everyday”
