Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Florida.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This Strawberry Festival in Plant City was a very vibrant celebration of agricultural heritage and high-energy fun for us. Stepping onto the grounds, we were greeted by an atmosphere that felt like a classic Americana fair, complete with livestock shows, fine arts, and a festive spirit that felt like there was over 600,000 visitors there. The festival featured more than 80 rides and attractions, making it a paradise for thrill-seekers. You can test your nerves on intense rides like the Zipper and Ring of Fire, or enjoy one of the three full-size roller coasters. For a more relaxed experience with a view, the Berry Big Wheel is a must; as one of the largest of its kind, it offers a stunning panoramic perspective of the entire festival grounds. Iconic Eats and New Flavors The food was, of course, the heart of the experience. No visit is complete without the legendary strawberry shortcake—look for the St. Clement "Make Your Own" booth to pile on as much whipped cream and fresh berries as your heart desires. Beyond the classics, the 2026 season introduced creative new snacks like Strawberry Dubai Funnel Cake, Strawberry BBQ Egg Rolls, and the indulgent Strawberry Crunch Nachos. Whether you're grabbing a standard corn dog or diving into strawberry-infused Dole Whip, the variety ensures no one leaves hungry.”

“Best concert venue I've been to in a while. Lots of vendors and food. The livestock contest were a nice cool spot to see the kids show off their cows. Lots to see, I'm getting there earlier so I could see more. Strawberries were perfect.”

“The lines to get ride tickets are very long. The lines for the rides got longer as the day went on. The kids enjoyed a couple rides and the walk-thru activities. Games are expensive - make sure you understand how many tries and successes are needed to get the toy your kids wants before you start. The concerts have some amazing artists - hopefully we can see a show next year. The comedy show in the Bay Care bldg was subpar compared to last year. The performance was only 20 minutes. The performer last year was much more entertaining for both kids and adults. The kids loved seeing the animals. Food is very expensive. Expect to spend at least $60 for a day per person to play a couple games, ride 2-3 rides, eat dinner, and have ice cream.”

“Went to the Strawberry Festival with my family and overall had a great time. The atmosphere was fun, and it was nice getting out together. That said… it was packed and the food prices were definitely on the high side. Still a good experience, just be ready for crowds and bring some extra spending money if you plan to eat!”
