“This might be the best pumpkin patch in the area. Please note that if you're looking for a carnival experience, go elsewhere (or go to the fair). Fog Willow is an actual farm and feels like a farm, not a theme park. That being said, there are lots of activities to do, though it caters to younger kids. My kids are 4 and 6 and had a blast. They especially loved the Big Dig, which is an extra cost (all other activities are included with the $12 entrance fee). We got a big bag ($12.50) that they shared and they each got about a dozen gems. There are lots of animals and we even got to see piglets that were born that morning. You can buy "goat cones" for $2.50 each with a credit card, but it's better to bring quarters and get goat food from the dispensers. The one thing that I wish they had was a corn maze, but they don't have space for a corn field. However, my kids enjoyed the goat maze. Also, this pumpkin patch is very picturesque. There are so many great photo ops. Most of the elements are very nicely designed and contribute to the overall feeling of the place. The pumpkins are impressive to see, but they are not grown here, so you don't get to cut a pumpkin off the vine. They have high pumpkin prices listed, but charged us less than what was displayed. We got two large pumpkins for $8/each, which was about twice as expensive as what they'd cost at a grocery store (but I thought it was a reasonable price for the experience). I thought it might be super crowded, but it wasn't on a Friday afternoon. It was busiest around lunchtime and got less busy in the later afternoon. There were no lines for the hay ride or pig ride for most of the day. We spent over 3 hours there and definitely could have spent much longer if we did activities multiple times or had to wait in lines. I was surprised they didn't open until 12pm, but when we arrived, many school bus loads of field trips were leaving, so that's why they open later on weekdays. I read through a lot of the reviews before coming. Seems like most of the negative reviews are people complaining about dust. First off, it's a farm that is covered in dirt, not concrete, so yes there is dust and you should dress your kids in clothes that can get dirty. Secondly, I didn't think the dust was bad at all. Some people also complained about the animal conditions. I was worried about this because I'm an animal lover, but I didn't see anything concerning about how the animals were cared for. Overall, we made great family memories at Fog Willow and I highly recommend it!”

“Fog Willow Farm is one of the best pumpkin patch experiences around. The place has an amazing atmosphere — perfect for families with kids. There’s a great playground, fun activities, and a petting zoo that little ones love. The pumpkin patch is beautiful, and the prices are fair — not overpriced like many other farms. The tractor ride is included with admission, which makes the day even better. Everything feels organized, friendly, and genuine. If you’re looking for a fun fall outing with your kids, this is the place to go. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a real pumpkin farm experience without breaking the bank.”

“Compared to other farms, this one is quite affordable. There’s free parking and even free tractor rides. The farm is beautifully decorated, with plenty of cozy spots for photos. We especially loved that there are so many animals — you can watch them, feed them, pet them, and show them to the kids, which is wonderful! Overall, the farm left a very pleasant impression. It might be nice to add a few more activities on the grounds, but even as it is, it’s great. A special highlight was the area where kids can wash dirt to find “precious stones” — such a fun activity!”

“Best little pumpkin patch in town! They have everything from constant hay rides to play areas to duck races. Plenty of animals to pet and you can even dredge for crystals. Pumpkins are plenty big and lots of picture opportunities. You feel like you're far away from the city but it's only 15 minutes from Rancho Cordova. Great place to take the family and not terribly expensive. Highly recommend.”

“Such a fun place! Lots to do! Petting zoo, duck races, pig races, hay ride, parks for playing, small tractor peddling race for kids, a maze and mining!! Wow! Was so surprised at how nice it was! $12 a per (under 3 is free) they also had some food and drinks and a cute lil store! Will for sure be coming back! Plus lots of spots for photos!! Love that it’s close to Elk Grove too!”
