“Honestly, I would lazily say a big "ditto" to all of the positive reviews. We drove 45 mins to visit this spot for the first time today. We were so pleased that they are pet friendly & our puppy was also a welcomed guest. Thank you owners, employees, & fellow patrons for all the attention & pets you gave our puppy today. He loved the socialization; though, he's still not sure about that American bulldog statue 🤣 We also highly appreciated the tasting offerings & how knowledgeable the man was (on wine & dogs!). We look forward to coming back to try your white wines once they're available. We loved the cab! We enjoyed the deck with the gorgeous views. Love the landscaping on the property. We also left, purchasing 6 bottles of the cider!! And one bottle of port. "Chefs kiss" Thanks to the birthday party today that was also so kind & friendly to our puppy. People that love dogs are good people!”

“We visited this winery on a recent May Friday afternoon. It is in such a beautiful setting with a large deck where you can sip your wine as you look out on the mountain views! We purchased a chilled bottle of Schwarzer Bar as recommended by a helpful winery employee after we explained our preference for semi-dry and dry wines. She put it in an ice bucket and handed us 2 wine glasses to take outside to the deck. We also bought cheese and salami for which she gave us a knife and cutting board. The wine was absolutely refreshing and delicious! The day was a 90 degree day so it hit the spot! We had a wonderful time on the deck! Before leaving we purchased 3 bottles of wine and can't wait to try them. We will be back as it is not a very far drive from Pittsburgh.”

“We make a trip to Forks of Cheat each year all the way from Baltimore. We joke that we make an annual trip to visit the moonshiner! All kidding aside, the Big Deal Rye is worth the long trip. The moonshine is very good, as is the wine (I personally like the sweet fruit wines). There is a lovely deck area for sitting and sipping. The staff is always friendly and get a kick out of our annual stock-up. I highly recommend Forks of Cheat!”

“Visited Forks of Cheat Winery and was great! The tasting room is eclectic, and the views are breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for a large event. Took a stroll down to The Vines and appreciated the serene atmosphere. Bob, the wine sales guy, was incredibly engaging and impressively knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. Can't wait to return with friends and soak in more of this hidden gem!”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting a winery with a host who made the experience truly exceptional. Not only were we warmly welcomed and allowed to try a variety of delicious wines, but the host's expertise as a beekeeper added an intriguing twist to the tasting. It was a delightful and memorable visit. Highly recommended!”

“Great selection of wines; we have a solid six that are our favorite. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and easy to chat with.”

“Always a great stop! Definitely a favorite for us. The wine is so yummy...also try the honey! Bob is just an absolute star!”

“Very nice winery with beautiful views of the mountains. Our host was knowledgeable and informative. We purchased 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of port. They offer tastings with no charge... Nice concept and they did ask that we not abuse their hospitality 😊. Worth the drive!!!!”
