Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Colorado.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We were there Last weekend. Under new ownership. Very nice collection fruits and veggies such as peaches, apricots, tomatoes, jam, jelly, salsa etc and other handcrafts Very courteous people, Nominal rates compared to other shops around. We were essentially looking for farms where we can pick our own fruits. They happily agreed and helped us to pick our own peaches. The peaches are delicious. Memorable weekend at farms.”

“Stopped by to pick my own fruit while in town. The owners are so kind and friendly. It’s fun to walk around the orchard and get fresh air and pick fruit. And the best part is the grapes and the peaches are so delicious.”

“We did peach U pick today. Their peaches are ripe and beautiful. Oh my goodness they are so sweet and juicy! The people who run the farm are very friendly and nice to talk to. Great experience for the whole family!”

“If I could give zero stars I would. Imagine having a 6 year old and a 3 year old who are just so excited to go apple picking for the first time and we drove 5 hours to get there. Now place them in a tiny orchard where they charge an entrance fee, which is really a fee to line their pockets to pay for their own insurance, and then send you and your family out to pick apples off of the handful of trees they have marked that you’re allowed to pick from. When I say there wasn’t a good apple on any of those trees I’m not kidding, not one. EVERY SINGLE APPLE WAS ROTTED AND HAD HOLES FROM BIRDS. And you actually expect people to want to pick these and take them home and pay more money for them??? We left with two very disappointed kids and less the “entrance fee” that they refused to refund. Maybe walk your own orchard-trust me it won’t take that long, before you send people out to pick fruit that you wouldn’t eat yourself. Maybe then you won’t be so surprised people want to go elsewhere.”

“PENNY PINCHING RIP OFF!! They charged an "insurance fee" for u-pick knowing they didnt have any good apples left to pick! They made us read a "rules sheet" like we were in kindergarten. And made comments about how they should start weighing people before and after to make sure nobody eats any products while in their orchard, even though we wouldnt and are honest people. We left having only spent $20 for their non-refundable insurance fee. We had never been there before and will never go back.”
