Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maryland.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Had a great visit today! Glade Valley is definitely the best value around. $10 for everything, including a pumpkin! My kids enjoyed the slides, swings, the corn maze, and could have spent the entire day in the corn pit. They don't have quite as many activities as some other farms in the area, but they don't need them. There's plenty to do, and no rushing around to try to do everything. You can be leisurely here; sit down and watch the kids play in the corn for an hour and go pick some pumpkins when you feel like it. This was my first visit, but my oldest kid visited since Glade Valley opened, and he always looks forward to going back.”
“Very nice people run this place. With ticket price, you get to pick a pumpkin which is a giant plus. Plenty of fun activities, the corn maze was huge & tricky! Petting zoo, slides, pumpkin and corn blasters, bounce house & picking pumpkins, so plenty to do. We were there a solid 3.5hours and the kids had a blast. If we have time, we will be back this year. 🙂”
“I had such a fun time taking my nephew and my sister for some family fun. We rode the Hay Ride, walked through the Corn Maze, fed/pet some goats & chickens, and you can shoot corn cobs at a bullseye. We even got to pick a complimentary pumpkin on our way out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated that :-)”
“🎃 Such a fun family day! We loved everything — petting the animals, the corn play area, the long slide, hayride, pumpkin picking, and even the pumpkin cannon! Great food trucks, friendly staff, and tons of smiles. One of the best fall family spots around! 🍁 We definitely will come back next year! 🤟”
“My boyfriend and I went here a few fridays ago and had the BEST time! The staff were incredibly friendly, every single activity was so fun, and the price is unbeatable. We are DEFINITELY coming back next year!”
