Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We had a great time at Granny May's! The staff was extremely kind and helpful when we arrived. The price seemed quite fair for the quality and amount of berries you can get. 4 heaping pints for $12! There is no comparison between store bought and fresh from the plant berries. The berries we brought home are a huge neighborhood hit too! We will definitely be returning for some more berry picking. The one thing I would like is to have more information on the strawberry types. The signs didn't give too much info compared to what I saw used to be on the signs. Great overall experience, thank you!”

“We came today for a strawberry variety tasting with the University of California. It was really interesting to try a range of different strawberry varieties and learn more about them. After that, we did the U Pick strawberries, which was a lot of fun. Overall, it’s a great family friendly activity, especially if you bring your kids.”

“Go to website to buy U pick strawberry tickets prior to showing up. $18 adult and $9 for a child. All who enter must pay. Multiple types of strawberries!!! No pets allowed on farm area. Quick and easy for young ones. Little store sells flowers and trinkets, some produce and jams/honeys. Will be back throughout the year!!!”

“Ist time & we really enjoyed ourselves. My granddaughter had a great time. The "U-pick" experience was great. We walked alot & filled our baskets. There's another small stand on the same lot which was also nice. It sells flowers, fruits, plants & other misc items. Overall we had a great time!”

“Best strawberry farm we’ve ever been to! Staff were super nice and helpful. Strawberries were so big and sweet! Well worth the admission rates and take home bucketful of strawberries 🍓 Planning to go back in July for their blackberries!”
