What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Washington, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Washington.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Best Cherries Ever!!! We just purchased a bag of Gunkel Orchard's Maryhill cherries from our local grocery store in Manitoba, Canada and they were the BEST EVER!!! Nice and firm with such full flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness, not tart at all. Keep up the good work!!”

“Fresh fruit & lots of homemade preserves. This was an easy walk from Peach Beach RV park. Staff was friendly & practicing Covid safety procedures. the fruit & tomatoes were great. This is worth the few mile drive over from interstate.”

“I’d never heard of Royal Cherries, however, they’re my new favorite. Sweeter and larger than Bing. The stand is a treasure trove of canned peaches, figs, baby carrots, Brussel sprouts, and more.”

“I purchased some of Gunkels peach blossom honey and it’s outstanding! This is the best honey I’ve ever had. I had asked them for their premium honey, and they knew exactly what to get for me.”

“Nice samples. The sweet lady peaches were delicious. They also had u-pick flowers.”

“At this time of the season they don't really have a lot of options. But still you can pick from red cherries and some other fruits available. Red cherries are quite high priced, You can get $4.95 per pound of red cherries.”

“I went fishing in the Dallas and what's and was told about this really cute. Fruit stand had nice fruit and nice. People so I decided to stop by. I pulled up look like a nice fruit. Few people around My family and I get out of the car. I have a small. I get out of the ground and walk over to the fruit stand I don't even get across the street when these 2 large dogs run at my dog. I pick him up and as I pick him up one of the very large dog. Ran right between my legs and I went flying in the air and Landed on the ground. My wife picked up the dog in a hurry so that the other dogs would not get him. Nobody came out to wrangle the 2 large dogs. They were just left to Rome. Nobody came to check to see if anybody was okay. I got back in my car and was not gonna buy anything very disappointed with the people they had there. Somebody comes over and says that I should talk to the owner. So I sit there and wait for more than 5 minutes for the owner of being the owner of the fruit stand and the owner of the 2 large dogs and he said oh, they've never done that before. And I was busy in the back with an electrician. But it's OK for me to have my dogs off the leash. The owner of the dogs And the fruit stand Did not even seem to care that I Was hurt My elbows had road rash I Had road rush On my stomach So I would just like everyone to know that if you go to this fruit stand and you have a dog with you, don't take him out of your car, you or your dog will probably be hurt or malt by these 2 large dogs that the owner does not care if they roamed free or cares. About who they hurt. I would not return to this place again. Very rude owner. Very inconsiderate owner and very bad. Dog owner gives dog owners a bad name. If you're going to have a large dog, you should have control of it, you should always have control of your animals. If you can't control your animal. You should not have them and if you're an owner of a business, you should not have your dogs at your place of business because they are a liability. I was nice and did not call the police and turn him in or while charges against the fruit stand for my injuries. Love fur babies”

“Their honey is good. But their Facebook said they were open. 5/23. Driver over 2 hours. And once we get there the sign says closed until 5/30. So we wasted over 5 hours and were unable to get a single item. Drive down the street and found maryhill. Great honey, cherries and other options there. Don’t waste time here. Just go to Maryhill.”
