Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Fantastic little family owned farm, the sign indicates it's been family owner for 100 years! This place has lots of animals to see including adorable baby piglets right now, cows (this is a "meet your meat" experience), sheep, chickens, and goats. There is a farm store at the front featuring all local candies, honey, candles, jerky, meat, eggs, and animal feed (for only $2 a cup!). They have lots of spots to take nice family, friend or couples photos all around the property. They have produce stands and pumpkin carts to buy fresh produce for highly reasonable prices ($5 a bag of fresh produce I believe, and $1-$5 pumpkins of varying size, shape, and color). Located further back is where to go for the baked goods and the cider. Delicious and lots of options! Also reasonably priced. And beyond that they have a flower patch allocated for u-pick style bouquets with provided mason jars for $10. The flower patch is lovely and completely distracted us from our original intent of touring the pumpkin patch, which they have to pick your own pumpkins. They have a hay ride available and a corn maze which looks rather big, but we didn't end up doing. Currently they have a giant cow statue out by the hay ride and corn maze and another barn and tent set up that I didn't check out this time. We do plan to go back to pick up some carving pumpkins. This trip we bought some cider and doughnuts and little pumpkins to paint. It was a very cheap, very lovely experience. We went around 4pm on This day and it didn't start to get busy until about 6pm. Love this place.”

“What a wonderful place for a family outing! 🌻🎃 From the vibrant pick-your-own flower fields to the festive pumpkin patch, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The farm animals are always a hit with the kids, and the fresh apple cider and homemade donuts make the visit even sweeter. The marketplace is full of seasonal goodies and local finds, adding to the charm. Everything here feels warm, welcoming, and family-oriented—perfect for creating lasting memories!”

“I visited Gust Brothers for the very first time this weekend and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! There’s so much to do, I could easily spend the whole day there. The apple cider and donuts were to die for! 😋 I loved getting up close with the farm animals, and the hayride was a relaxing change of pace. Plus, the pumpkins were great quality and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back! 🎃✨🤎🍁”

“Absolutely a wonderful family or individual location to visit. They have You Pick pumpkin, veggie, and flower patches. They also have veggies and pumpkins already picked. There is a donut and cookie shop along with a check out barn that is also a shop. There are goats you can feed and chickens to see. They also have a corn maze and hay ride for a minimal fee. Very enjoyable time for all to be had.”

“My family loved visiting this farm. We opted to purchase food ($2/ cup) to feed the animals. They had pumpkins, donuts, cider, and flowers available to purchase. As well as a small shop where the feed is located. They have cows, goats, pigs, sheep, bunnies, and chickens to pet/look at. There is a hayride and cornmaze available as well. We'd love to go again, I highly recommend this place!”

“Amazing family friendly farm to enjoy a traditional Midwestern early fall outing. No admission charge, but great ticketed offerings (e.g., corn maze, wild flower garden, etc.). Get great cider and donuts (weekends have long lines) and great prices on pumpkins. Can’t beat Gust!”

“First time going, and for a smaller farm, it was perfect. Nice selection of items and great time for the kids. Didn't get any cider or food. The lines were long, so it must have been good!”

“We LOVED the you-pick pumpkin patch & apple cider donuts. We visited from Florida and wanted to take some photos with my son and the pumpkins. He had a great time running around, and exploring ALL the different and unique pumpkins this patch had to offer. We will say - that I gave this farm 4 stars because there were incredibly long waits that perhaps could have been more efficient. In addition, they were reselling items that are typically labeled not for resale at astronomically higher than normal rates. (Kirkland water) While I know it is important for small businesses to profit - think its also important to recognize that there are ways to do that correctly.”
