Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New Mexico.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This was our first time visiting Heirloom Acres in Artesia and we absolutely loved it! The place is very clean, well-organized, and has such a warm family-run feel, you can even see the kids helping out with the process, which makes it extra special. There were so many beautiful pumpkins to choose from, along with adorable photo set-ups that made for great pictures. My kids had a blast with all the activities, from the jumper, basketball hoop, and baseball toss, corn maze, to the fun corn pit (which ended up being my daughter’s favorite!). I was impressed by how prepared they are for families to enjoy the whole experience. They had a great setup with fire pits and seating, which I can imagine would be super fun at night. They even sell s’mores kits, plus drinks, hamburgers, and snacks. Overall, we had such a fun day, and I can definitely say we’ll be back again. This pumpkin patch is a wonderful family outing spot and such a gem in Artesia! 🎃🍂”

“We had so much fun today! October 30 is apparently their last day of the season, but the corn is still growing, and there were plenty of pumpkins and sunflowers and cotton to look at. The kids were thrilled with all the little extras they have, especially the ducks and goats. They liked the little "bee line"/Zipline. The tractor ride was fun. And of course, they loved bouncing on the little pillow/trampoline thing in the middle. The maze itself is about the perfect length for children. The bathroom facilities were clean. The whole area was clean, in fact. I honestly like this place better than AtlDo and Fiddlesticks Farms. We'll be back next year for sure!”

“Hands down, Best Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze! My kids & I really enjoy ourselves every yr it opens in October we come at least 3 times within the month, they have added alot of new things for the kids to do......my kids fav the Zipline not to big or small...also not dangerous. The Tractor ride was so fun, they added a huge jumpy on the ground super creative! Then at night they have a peaceful place for a Bonfire & S'mores for the whole family to sit around & relax! Plus Much more. Your family will really enjoy this fun, serine place.”

“Great place, nice people. Loved the old equipment. It was neat, well organized, and thoughtfully arranged. Pumpkins were quite reasonable and a campfire in the corn maze wrapped up our evening. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again this year, even living 2.5 hours away, and I look forward to taking the family annually. I've been passing through Artesia for twenty years and now I have a reason to stop beyond fuel and coffee.”

“We had a great time at Heirloom Acres. Such a fun, cute and relaxing place to spend the evening with friends & family in the fall. The folks running this farm are absolutely delightful and really care about their guest. Also don’t for get to reserve your CAMPFIRE it’s a must!”

“Beautiful, wholesome family fun on this farm! We loved coming here for our daughter’s first pumpkin patch experience! We can’t wait to go back”

“Different types of pumpkins, a corn maze, sunflowers and games. A nice picnic area and food and music.”

“$15 per child , a bit overpriced. I would recommend to price entry at $5 pp and charge extra for activities. Usually these places are able to pull in high volume, but hardly anyone here…likely due to pricing.”
