What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for New Hampshire, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New Hampshire.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Stop by Heron Pond Farm for all your grocery needs, grains, meat and cheese included! I’ve been a member of the Heron Pond Farm CSA for both summer and winter. The food and system for the CSA is of the highest quality all around. I love that you can choose what you want instead of many other CSA’s where you get what you get. Stop by the farm stand as well and give their food a try for yourselves! I thoroughly enjoyed learning from The owners who were guest speakers at UNH for the EcoGastronomy major. This farm loves their food from the dirt they use to the people they work with! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out on a seacoast/ NH treasure.”

“I've been a fan of Heron Pond for a while now. Went this past weekend and it just such a nice little farm stand. They always have a little bit of everything and it's all really good. They carry a lot of specialized smaller company products as well. One of the few local places you can grab fresh mushrooms as well. I highly recommend stopping in if you love fresh vegetables as much as me.”

“I spent a lovely morning at Heron Pond Farm. I picked blueberries and flowers and took a visit to their farm stand! Everything in the shop was local and fresh. The people working their were so nice and friendly! I got many smiles and waves while picking my berries and when I got home I made the most wonderful jam. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a nice day trip.”

“A very cute little farm stand in Northampton. They're vegetables are seasonal so the winter is a bit sparse but everything is delicious. They have some great local vendors who also sell through them so they have coffee, dairy products, and various yummy treats that are all local. Well worth the visit”

“Stopped in here with the wife and kids to pick some blueberries in an effort to avoid the Wally world place down the road over the border. Blueberries were perfect. And not sure where they get those pastries by the register, but oh man are those unreal.”
