Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Oregon.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Oh, it was WONDERFUL!!! The people are so nice. They have a wonderful selection of several different kinds of pumpkins, decorative corn stalks, and hay bails. There are goats, a turkey, two horses, geese and a donkey to see too!! Their market is open, so perfect for COVID (and I appreciate that they require people to wear masks), and is filled with everything from decorative corn, to fresh produce, sweet treats, cider, frozen berries, to hot sauces, dressings, honey, and preserves!! They have wagons for you to pull your pumpkins in and plenty of picture opportunities!! SUCH a perfect way to welcome the fall!! Thank you, Herrick crew!!”

“This place holds a special place in my heart. My parents always took me here as a kid to get pumpkins and produce. I always had the greatest time! My dad is no longer with me and I come back here to reminisce the good times we had together. Thank you Herricks for being such a wonderful farm!”

“I bought zucchini, blueberries, onions, cherries which were so nice and sweet and the nectarines they are crisp but yet sweet delicious best I've had all year from any other place, it's worth the price for any product they sell because it's always good!”

“Wonderful variety of produce, flowers, jams, honey, pickled vegetables. They also offer discounted fruits with slight bruises, and I appreciate the effort to minimize food waste. The service was promoted and friendly.”

“This is by far, the best tasting apple cider I've had here in Oregon. More reasons to look forward to fall!”

“Went out of our way to check this farm out in October for pumpkin season. We were able to get several pumpkins for a fair price! It was a tighter space than expected and felt very cramped with so many families around. I wish there was more signage on what their process was, as we stood in a long line with all these pumpkins to find out we had to go around back to get them weighed. I like their variety of local choices and apple cider YUM!”

“Decided to check out this farm stand and get some strawberries.. we got a 3 pack of strawberries, brought them home and started to sort them out and over half of them were completely brown, rotten and moldy. That's absolutely unacceptable. I won't be back. Should be 1 stars but they get 2 stars because the flowers and plants they had were pretty and the goats were cute. There are way better farmstands in the area that have great strawberries that are sweet and juicy, and actually edible from not being moldy and brown.”
