A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Washington.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We always make it a tradition to head up to Green Bluff in the fall, and this time, we decided to stop at High Country Orchard. I had heard great things about their sandwiches and had to try them out. It was pretty busy when we arrived on the weekend, but the line moved quickly, and we got our order in without much of a wait. We ordered a ham and cheese, a Reuben, and a grilled cheese with tomato soup. The kids got an apple cider slushy, which they loved, and I went for the traditional Apple cider. I would have loved to try their amazing chai, but it was too hot today (I prefer my chai tea hot). They couldn't make the pumpkin donuts fast enough because it was busy. They were delicious After we finished our meal, we had a great time browsing around inside the cute little shop, and then we went outside because there were a couple of local vendors. The kids had fun with the animals in the back and the played on the large slide. It was a really fun day out I love the family vibe here. Plenty of photo ops too pup-friendly too 📍 High Country Orchard 8518 E Greenbluff Rd Colbert, WA 99005”

“Love love love this place!!! It's incredibly beautiful, Spring, Summer or Fall. The Fall time is my absolute favorite time to go with all the trees changing colors, but summer is great as well. The cherries we picked were really good and the trees were totally loaded. They also have a great little petting zoo. The one little goat that was there, I wanted to take home so badly lol. The people who work are absolutely amazing, the cow train is so much fun and the coffee bar is perfection 😀!!! When ever we go to Green Bluff High Country is a farm that we will not pass up on!!! It's definitely one of my favorite places!!!”

“What a unique, fun, and chill experience! We came here for lunch and it was awesome. It's not really a full restaurant, just a little kitchen in the corner of the store, but the food was excellent. I had a reuben sandwich and my lady had a grilled cheese with pesto and tomato- top notch. The coffee was excellent too. We ate inside the country store, and there was also some charming outdoor seating too. And the best part- there were cats and kittens walking around while we were eating and we got to interact with and pet them. What a cool place”

“Lovely! There is a coffee shop with treats, a very large gift shop with a wide variety of items. Outside there were bins of picked pumpkins, including some small decorative ones. They have a booth set up to make pumpkin donuts, but no one was running the fryer, so that was a bummer. They have a very cute area with hay bales, corn stalks and pumpkins where you could take selfies. In the back are chickens, goats, cows and pigs to look at.”

“What a great place! The vibe is wonderful and the setting is beautiful. With a store, a petting zoo, a cherry orchard, and a barn wedding venue, it has it all! Including farm equipment old and newer. A fun place for a kids birthday, or shopping for unique items in the store. Will definitely be back here at some point with more of my family!”

“One of the best place to enjoy summer when kids are out of school. Moms can enjoy fresh lavender soda but without kids you can have mimosas. They have good sandwiches and breakfast options. They have 3 playgrounds for different ages and also pet zoo 2$ / kid. Plenty of Outdoor sitting space and tress for shade.”

“We've gone there during pumpkin season and it was so much fun and now tulip season. Their tulips ran out before we got there but it was nice to walk around and see all the booths. Great to experience with our then 2 year old and now 3 year old. 🫶”

“Nice little country gift shop. It really is out in the country side but that’s about all it’s got going for it in my opinion. Walked in and was not surprised to see lot s and lots and lots of mass produced country style stuff. Unfortunately nothing I haven’t seen before in a few other hundred places. They do have some nice stuff, don’t get me wrong, but if it wasn’t so overpriced it would be just a tad more convincing to get something. The place wasn’t even worth taking pictures.”
