Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Oregon.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We have come here to pick cherries in recent years. We park the car and there is a tree next to it, so we can pick them directly. This can avoid dirtying clothes and shoes. I like it. It also provides free plastic bags in the bucket. There are many varieties of cherries. Highly recommended”

“I’ve been trying to come here to pick cherries for the past month and was able make it on the last day of their picking season! The Rainer’s are my favorite and the trees here are very sweet! We will definitely come back next year! Can’t beat the fun and the $1.5 per pound!”

“Awesome orchard to pick cherries. Very reasonable and a lot of varieties. We used to go to Hood River, but Dayton is half the drive time from the PDX area. Trees are not so tall, so don’t need ladder. 2nd orchard has varieties I haven’t seen in store.”

“Really great fruit even on the last day of the season. We really enjoyed picking here. A new u-pick happy place for me. I’d recommend this over blueberries on a hot day because the trees provide some nice shade to pick in.”

“We came in the beginning of July for U pick. We went for Ranier cherries. Unfortunately we were a bit late in the season for Raniers at this orchard, we were able to get a few pounds but they were rather small, soft but still very sweet. Now the Reginas and Benton cherries were delicious. The Regina's were so big, sweet and juicy. They were everyone's favorite by far! They had so many dark cherries I couldn't tell which variety was which, couldn't taste the difference but it was delicious for fresh eating.”
