Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Hill Country Pumpkins is the best place to bring the WHOLE family for Fall Festivities! It begins with a pumpkin picking area! While it’s not a grassy patch, rather on the side of the road, it offers a shaded area with hay, pumpkins on display, and bins marked from $4-$15 by pumpkin size. The next tent offers lots of photo opportunities and shaded areas for parents to sit. Why the need for parents to sit? Because there is a fun BOUNCY obstacle course and house for kids to play in! To the side of all these fun activities is an ARTS & CRAFTS area! They offer lots of paints, brushes, plates and towels for you to paint your pumpkin after you purchase it. BUT THE BEST PART? They offer free snacks and drinks for kids AND free adult beverages for parents. 10/10 Would Recommend ✨”

“Medium but mighty! Great set up thank you. Three bouncy houses, tons of pumpkins, free food and drinks (right? 😂), painting, arts and crafts, bracelet making for the kids, hat bales, photo booths. Great time and great set up. Very thoughtful of Strategic Air Services HVAC company to put this on. Which fwiw I couldn’t tell at all until I asked a gentleman wearing a Hill Country Pumpkins shirt about the place. Well earned exposure and big shout out to you guys for doing this, especially now that the larger patch has moved 45-60 mins away to Buda. Great time thank you! 🎃 👻 🤙”

“What a great free resource for families!! This small little pumpkin patch is really sweet! There is a great pumpkin photo area with the lovely sign. There are 3 free bounce houses; 2 large and one for smaller age jumpers. There are free snacks and juices for the kids. My only con is its right by a busy road so there is a lot of exhaust in the air but honestly this is such a wonderful resource. The free snacks and drinks are in the brown building, there is also a restroom there.”

“I love this place! They have free snacks, HUGE inflatables, pumpkins for purchase, and free pumpkin decorating supplies. They also do a Christmas tree lot during the holidays with hot chocolate and crafts and inflatables. The lot is operated by the heat and A/C business at this location (Strategic Heating & Air Conditioning) and they’re great too! They came out on a one-day notice earlier this summer when I hit the AC wires with the weed eater.”

“This was such a fun place. It’s small but packs a lot of fun. Very friendly and inviting staff. They had several free inflatables, cute picture backdrops and many pumpkins to choose from at good prices. They even offer free drinks and snacks as well as art activities and pumpkin painting with all the supplies you could think of. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it and want everyone to leave happy. We will remember for next year!”

“This place is so cute. They have two wonderful bouncy houses, incredible arts and craft supplies for the kids to decorate pumpkins, free snacks, and drinks. My kids are having the best time.”

“Thank you for being dog friendly! Had such cute pumpkins and great Photo Booth sections 🎃🍁🍂 they had bouncy houses, pumpkin painting, games, and food.”

“I had a good time at the Pumpkin Patch in the Hill Country area! The fact that it’s FREE admission is amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. I loved that you can do your own pumpkin art if you purchase one from them—such a fun and creative activity! There’s also a great play area for kids to enjoy, which is a bonus for families. They offer free drinks and snacks as well, making it a perfect spot for a fall day out. Highly recommend!”
