“I had a very pleasant experience Saturday at Hinton’s orchard out on 62. I am an old soldier and I needed a hand with "Matilda the Monstera" a plant that has been in my family for several generations so she is very special to me. I met Tracy, "Big T” as I call her because she is kind and super knowledgeable, the kind of person I needed to help me with Matilda. Tracy guided me through the process of selecting the right equipment to repot her and even helped me do it. She taught me all about the plant and patiently answered all my questions. She taught me the name of my plant "Monstera." Tracy taught me that! I really do believe that if I had to repot Matilda again I could do it. What Tracy didn’t know was that I was having a stressful day and her patience and me playing in the dirt reduced my stress to zero. Thank you Hinton’s for having a nice serene place away from all the hectic traffic and Tracy, "Big T" thank you for your knowledge and kindness and patience. You were my angle Saturday.”

“I had no idea what this was. Absolutely a nifty shop! Loads of locally made items, food and goods plus loads of plants flowers and veggies. You should totally stop in and check out what they have on the day you go ☺️.”

“My visit is mid-November, so in between seasons. Nothing on display outside. Inside, they did have apples of different varieties, honey, varieties of ciders, a few pastries, and a few gift items. We did buy 3 pecks of apples (3 varieties), a couple Pecan Turnovers, and Carmel apple dip. We will be back when more items are available. The same family have a retail Orchard in LaRue County which we have visited before. August 2024 We continue to visit here and their nursery in LaRue County. We purchase a variety of items at different times of the year including vegetables, vegetable plants, fruits, baked goods, bird feeders and other novelties. You won't hear about dangerous food recalls when buying local.”

“Horrible customer service/work ethic. Close at random times before their posted hours, or close out their register before end of business hours and won’t make sales. If I get there at 4:55 and close is at 5, I still have 5 minutes to buy a jug of apple cider before you should cash out your register for the day. If employees need time to close the store after posted closing hours, work that into their schedule”
